How come there up so high ....right next to the White painted area?

Thanks Caper, my dealer put them on according to the enclosed instructions so I assumed they were put on correctly. These step bars came directly from Mopar, I will try to get you the part # ASAP.

I must admit with the bars being a little higher they stick out the furthest and will protect my doors from parking lot door dings.
