    the heat from the engine is not significant enough to hinder power or air temperature difference from the engine bay. ?

    modified intake is temporary, just got the carbon fiber to make the permanent tube. the JB weld will never crack due to the heat from the engine, the pentastar V6 does not make that much heat.

    So I had bought an SRI for the Journey but the intake tube was too heavy with the cone filter, soooooooo I decided to modify the original intake into an SRI. You can really hear and feel the difference from the stock intake and this modified one. Note: I also upgraded the sparkplugs, ignition coils, cleaned the throttle body, replaced the PCV valve and installed modified oil catch can.

    Here is a short video of the SRI I made using the secondary intake tube by cutting off the restrictive intake air diverter tubes and covering the holes with the ends of the tubes using JB Weld. You can hear the engine breath better...

    Installed 3157 LED switchback turm signals/DRL with resistors (to prevent hyper flash) on my 2015 Journey and they work nice. Also have 9005 and 9006 LED headlight bulbs, 2504 (PSX24W) LED Amber fog light bulbs and T10 Amber LED side markers. Below is a link to how the lights look.

    I'm thinking of purchasing a set of Ripp coils in the near future, I have upgraded coils at the moment but want better response and from what I've read from Ripp their coils are a good upgrade.

    the resistors will solve the issue but you need one resistor per bulb and they need to be secured to metal if possible as they will get hot.

    Guys don't give up on your Journey just yet, If you have full coverage you may also have mechanical breakdown coverage and it will cover your Journey up to 100k miles or 10 yrs whichever comes first. Mine had a transmission and rear differential replaced and I only paid $250 deductible. Please go over your insurance coverage to see if you have the mechanical breakdown option. ?

    clean the throttle body with some seafoam and a soft bristle tooth brush. Start it for about 15 mins then add seafoam spray through your throttle body ( 1 whole can) and 1/4 can through vaccum line at about 2000 rpms and don't panic if it stalls. let it sit for about 15 mins then drive it normal for a couple of blocks and if you can, hit the highway so you get it up to ateast 60 mph. Your check engine light will come on but it will clear after a couple of days. Cleaning your throttle body restores some of your power and engine response specially with new coils and plugs.

    My 2015 Sxt AWD also had the same issue then it didn't start at all, Vehicle Not in Park message cane on and it was the Neutral position sensor that went bad. Its about $65 and easy to replace with some patience, No need to drain the transmission.

    As mentioned above, new rotors and brake pads need to be changed and also check your brake fluid level.
