I just change every 6,000 miles and reset the light every time ..

could be something simple or something major . being Easter I doubt a parts store would be open where you could scan for codes. you might think about hitting Walmart as they are everywhere and always open and see if they have a cheap scanner you can buy to check codes with. that's what I would do ...

that was lucky it did break while running

I just buy a bunch at my local parts store. I have the same rattle but only over wash board roads. all the plastic liners seem loose and rattle . about to do the same thing and replace a bunch of the loose ones ...

esp and traction control light
Dusty256 replied to Dusty256's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
well after much searching I found a reset for the esp has system . I disconnected the battery for about 10 mins , after that the esp bad and traction control lights where still lit. abs lights where not .mstarted the truck and turned the wheel stop to stop first turning it right and then turning it left and returning to center position. turned of the truck and restarted. esp and traction control lights where still on .min and then drove it abut 20 feet and both lights went off.. will see if the light stays off and if not I know the problem is in the stearing wheel sensor... must of been a glitch or something . now going to find my self a better scanner , I see Bosch has one for $99 bucks that reads abs stuff .. -
coming home from dinner tonight I hear a chime and then my esp light and traction control light come on . if I hit the esp button the traction light will go off. my code reader shows no codes but I think it just does basic stuff . 2009 2.4 liter with the four speed. car shifts and drives okay.... any thoughts ? guess will have to go to my local parts store to see if they can read a code I suspect I lost a wheel speed sensor but not sure which one

Dodge Journey suspension noises
Dusty256 replied to stringslapper5's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
that sounds like rear sway bar bushings. my 2009 is completely quiet even on the roughest roads. -
I would check cables , sounds like you have a cable problem . If the starter is just clicking it's not getting enough current , a bad cable to the starter or battery would cause this. Lemon law on a 2009 car ,I think not

Get a code reader and check codes will point you where you need to look.

Want a speedie car buy a speedie car.... My 2009 seems to have enough power for what it is ....

Looking around junk yard sites and ran across this 2009 journey. Not one bit of body damage and the interior looks mint.. Makes you wonder why they junked the car ... https://cpprohomeky.car-part.com/image?seller=7282&partGUID=348538BC-6AA4-4991-A922-EE7731505C29&vehicleGUID=B4CC699D-D22D-45CA-868E-E57FFAE247A6&display=2009%20Dodge%20Journey%20Hood-Stock%23%20CAL-544#

Though these cars had complete hub assemblies with non serviceable bearings ... In other words a seal unit where you can replace just the bearings...

Really confused on sway bar bushing sizes. I have a 2009 journey se and need to changed the front sway bar bushings . Not overly lose just rattles a bit of wash board roads and the one leading in to my sub division is rough.. I see differ sizes offers on rock auto and even the mopar part numbers are different .

Dealers always bad about that , girlfriends truck needed an oil change at 30,000 miles she has been doing dealer oil changes as part of the warranty . The wanted to sell her a transmission flush . Coolant flush (truck is two years old) brake system flush .. Told her to drive away ...
