Ya I got the same issue . Hard down shifts. And sometimes shifts hard when acceleration. As for the idle issue . Was at lights and it went form 500 rpm to nearly 1000. Amd truck hoped forward. Even when the ac is on its close to 1000 rpm don't think that's normal.

I'm experiencing the hard down shift now and some times shifting up. Never did that before. Dealer time for some warranty work...

3.6 Crankshaft position sensor 05149167AE connection
daddyRT replied to marioks's topic in Engine & Transmission
You would need to get wiring diagram of the plug to sensor and the plug should have labels with letters for the position of where the coloured wires will go to .For example- A pin is blue B pin is black C is red . These are not the actual positions just example. Also use shrink rapped connectors to avoid future corrosion due to weather. Hope this helps. -
As a mechanic and have friends in the motor machine shop business. He told me the 3.6 engines had problems with the rollers in the cylinder heads to the values.the bearings in the rollers fail due to poor design. Symptoms include miss fire feeling at idle. But drives ok with. I misfire or lack of problem issue. I have 2014 rt and I feel the same slight miss at lights or while warm up.food for thought.

Well as for throttle response you would have to play with the voltage to throttle posting sensor that's built in to the body and give it more voltage by doing so it responds quicker. But that's some kits you get for muscle cars . Don't think they would had it for DJ.

I'd love it. I'm sure sone one will come up with a kit . If not we just have to slap in the SRT8 motor or hellcat in our DJ
-
Yes you are correct 3.6l but not the dj . I seen them do a Cherokee with à 3.6 transverse all wheel drive from 188 horse power at wheel to 308.

Check out RIPP superchargers for 3.6l engines they are available and bolt on and also computer tuning.

The dealer does it with monitoring trany temp and by measurement on the dip stick and then look at a graph they have marked with temperature scale on one side and measurements on the other side and they tell you if it's good low or full. I'm trying to find a picture to post here for you to see.

Wondering if any one has bought the trany dip stick for the v6 AWD models . Was it aftermarket or from dealer and did it work.
