For those interested in pcm tuners

Yes those are. This one is for an actual tuner that you plug in and flash tho so you have full control of everything.- 6 replies

If your interested in tuning your journey go to this link and prove that you are. Even if you don't care its easy all you do is fill a few lines out and you'd be helping out those who are! https://www.sctflash.com/support/vehicle-not-found

Alright fellas HPtuners.com is what im talking about they have exactly what I was talking about for roughly 600$ but since my journey is a 2015 it requires this extra step called "pcm modification service" which basically unlocks your pcm but you have to send them your pcm im guessing and email them a read from your computer which I think I can handle since my wireless scan tool lets me post data to facebook and so on but they want another 249 just to unlock the friggin thing. So I guess I wont be getting that anytime soon, but it looks like it'll do trans&tcc tables like im looking for tho

I happened to poke in my 2015 DJ 3.6 for the vehicle selection and well I guess they offer an off the shelf pre-programmed level 1&2 chips..yank What they really need to release is an all out programmer that the consumer themselves can go in and adjust tables and switches, trans data, tcc lockup rates(thatd be the first thing I would go for stupid 4th gear lockup at 22mph) and everything else the pcm controls.. I traded in my 08 civic si for my journey, which I tuned with hondata and that tuning program was worth every cent! I also used to have a 94 Z28 6sp that I put an a huge cam in so I went with tunercats, who sold out to none other than JET... I still have a my lumina Z34 which is all stock didn't need a chip but the promm went bad in it so I got a new one and bought a chip anyway since its old and primitive and the place that custom makes them with your preferences is located in Warsaw, IN which is only about an hour from me. (+1 for WOTtech.com) Anyway someone needs to make a pentaprogrammer or something already that isn't just another off the shelf "chip" im not good with hacking or crackin through locked up pcms but I can tune like a madman! Feel free to share your thoughts..

Oh fersure I know it CAN be done but under Chryslers permission I don't have any friends in the shop area I only know the sales lady that I bought it from since we were in the same grade in school and I always thought shes was a cutie but there is one tech I know from b4 working there but he threatened to smash my head against a wall if I left a mess by his area once since it was busy that day and I was just a lube tech doing an oil change down on his end of the shop...I never had any beef with him ever then he spouts that off.. I not scared to approach him but he just acts like he don't wanna talk unless theres dead presidents in hand... -

Yeah that's probably why lol older technology that's been cracked already...I used to try and watch real close what was going on when I was working at mike andersons here and it was all really complicated and Ive tuned a vette few Camaros and my 08 civic si but this is crap is just straight locked down no editing options what so ever...might as well just give up I guess -

So I made my trip up there Monday afternoon and they fed me the same crap.."we can only flash what Chrysler sends us" which I understand but still kinda confused did you have your journey flashed or was it a different car? I even mentioned that I spoke to a person online about all this and said they had it done and they still were kinda helpless in this situation...btw I now know that if you drive with a trans temp lower than 50 degrees F. it will not lockup, if only I could just have access to alldata still... -

Haha thats funny man. If im driving in manual mode it'll automatically downshift for me as i come to a stop. What makes me feel like its locking in 4th @30mph is because if im using the autostick and leave it in 4th it wont slip unless you go all the way WOT. Will Glenbrook give you any options on choosing a lockup at all and how much was your bill after each time? Thanx a buch -

dhh3, since your somewhat near by what's the dealership that you were going to? I previously worked at the one here so I would rather not have to go back... -

Hey fellas I think I might have an idea for this 30 mph 4th gear, the reason is because the moment your DJ does its 3-4 shift @ <15% throttle its going to instantly lock up the torque conv. Now my idea is to some how toggle that signal to lock up so if anybody has pinouts for the 62te I would gladly test me theory and post results. BTW I've drove mine cold the other day and it did not lockup instantly going 3-4 and it was perfect!! but then it got warmed up and back to being lame 4th gear lockup:( Also, I know im sorta fresh around here but I have dabbled with TunerCat a lot in the past which is mainly for z28s but the point is its simply an adjustment of a table in the TCU. Any lockup under 45mph to is just retarded to me, probably because I have never owned anything dodge up until this past summer..
