    My 09 had to have the harness replaced in the rear hatch as there were wires broken where it hinges

    When mine did this I had to have the unit replaced

    They are ordering me a new one they knew nothing about the TSB until I showed them.

    Its very common dealers have them in stock I was able to get mine out as it broke in the right place You might be able to get a needlenose plier on it good luck

    I had to have the hatch harness replaced on my 09 RT I had no backup lights as there were wires severed at the harness hinge

    And you are dealing with the railroads which can be a nightmare there seems to be a real bottleneck right now and shippers are having issues

    I factory ordered it and it was FWD you could do that back then not anymore in Canada now RT is only AWD I also changed all fluids at 80k and then at 160 along with the timing belt water pump etc

    I had the key not detected but pushed the start button with the FOB and it started right up it was strange

    My 09 RT had 180000 on it when I sold it and now it has over 220 and except for some key fob issues it still runs fine

    The UNIT has to be replaced plain and simple your dealer is BS ing you They tried the disc thing on mine 1st then just changed out the unit it works fine now they have issues with them

    I agree the touch screen should be complimented by buttons or switches

    It will most likely need to be replaced many of us have had this same issue
