My 09 RT works fine with the 235/55/19 tire I have the Yokohamas
-
I have 235/70/16's Hankook Pike's on my RT with steel rims I bought from the dealer the 1st winter I had the vehicle and have had no problems I did have to buy the 433 mhz sensors but got lucky on Ebay and paid $25 for 8 of them so i have spares to deal with the corrosion issues that cant be stopped because of the poor design and whatever you do do NOT put stem extenders on as they will snap off and destroy the sensor stem then your done found out the hard way
-
My 09 has 433mhz sensors and I switch back and forth from 19 to 16's with no interuption I thought the 11's and up changed to a different frequency guess not

The 13 Escape is WAY overpriced $40000.00 for the Titanium model with a 4 cylinder Turbo? Same as the Santa Fe took out the V6 in both and jacked up the price by 4 or 5 grand but people are buying them To bad I cant get a 2013 RT with FWD or I would buy one today- only in Canada
-
Hope they put a new timing belt and tensioner on while they were in there
-
He did not remove the engine but it took six hours and a lot of cussing

Just had mine done yesterday along with the water pump and tensioner- the water pump had began to "seep" so it was a good thing I had the procedure done Also had new plugs Mopar NGK installed and it seems to run very well took my mechanic six hours I used the Gates brand for the timing belt, tensioner and water pump and a goodyear Gator serpentine belt 160600 klm's

I dont understand the "logic" If you want leather seating you have to get AWD in Canada? They have far worse winter weather in the Dakotas and far away places like that in the good old USA and they HAVE the option FWD or AWD Who are the knuckleheads that do this so called "extensive" research? Which is pretty much if you live in Canada you will pay more and like it Why not give the leather option in the Crew then? Thanks for your reply Dodges CACares this reply is not directed at you Dodge makes a product for the USA that I cant even buy and its thousands less -- great marketing

Can someone tell me why we as Canadians are FORCED to purchase AWD if you want to buy a 2013 RT? Dodge.com price and build gives you the option of FWD or AWD but not in Canada. What reason is this other than adding $4000 to the price ? We are really being screwed by the automakers in this country guess I'll be hanging on to my 09 RT FWD which I guess is a rarity in Canada- yikes

No more v6 just like the Escape or the Santa Fe unless you get a 7 seater 2 liter turbo is the big push now they are ok new but I wonder how they will perform with 75000 miles on them ? The 4 cylinder turbo is $1000 upgrade in the Edge to me that is crazy

2009 Journey SXT - Transmission Oil & Filter Change
larryl replied to Cooker's topic in Engine & Transmission
I have had mine changed twice by the dealer @ 70000 & 145000 klms it cost $180 for labor, oil & filter There is no dipstick & a gauge on a chain is used to measure fluid another goofy design as its impossible to add fluid -
Its not the brand of tire its Chrysler's goofy size thats the pain
-
I have had good luck putting them on my 09 but they were not from this seller I also used Wagner Ceramic pads

Hamilton- Niagara is a very popular Journey sighting area

My 09 RT has had no back up lights for a month or so and I finally got it into the dealer to look at is as there was no power to either socket. As it turns out 3 wires had snapped in half inside the wire harness that runs from the inside to the tailgate through a hole in the roof and tailgate. The dealer said that the opening and closing repetition of the tailgate had caused the wires to snap. Here is the best part-the harness is around $400.00 and it took almost 2hrs to install it for which Chrysler only allowed 20 minutes!!! Thankfully I have the extended warranty and they said I was the 1st that they had seen with this problem. The harness holds the wires for every part requiring power in the tailgate so lots could fail when wires start to snap after so many open & closings A real bad design or cheap wiring has to be the real issue.

usually an indication of a burned out bulb-the signal bulb might be a two filament bulb unless you have LED's
-
I put chrome covers over mine
-
I was quoted $900 thats for belt, water pump, tensioner and seals supposed to be done before 170000klms
-
I have 135000 on mine still like it although Im dreading the timing belt replace expense which is 170000 or 102 months (I thought it had a chain)
-
No AWD They lasted 60000 klms approx with snow tire rotation
-
I have Yokohamas on mine-235/55/19 they are a nice riding tire
-
Are you sure its a belt and not a "chain" on a 3.5?
