If you are talking about the part#, it depends on which brake setup you have on your DJ. You will either have the smaller ones or the bigger ones. If you are looking to buy the parts, you can take them off and take them with you to the store. Otherwise, what code are you talking about?

Where you able to fix the latch Melissa? I was able to click it back with a screwdriver when I accidentally pushed it while cleaning it.

If you guys have not resolved the door lock problem, I am going to assume it is a wiring issue. I had the same issue on an older car of mine, and it was the wire from the relay to the actuator. The wire had gotten old and although it was getting a current when I pushed the button (and worked intermittently), it was not enough power to give it a full current. Just a thought.

Parking brake won't "reset" (FIXED)

Thanks for the post and answer to the problem. Is the circled part where you pushed it back? -
Jefferson, was this ever fixed on your car? It would be interesting to find out what the problem was?

Any pictures to show off the new look? -
Let's be honest...no forum is ever going to be perfect. I've used this site for more than enough things that I've wanted help others in return. If the post makes no sense, or doesn't have enough information, well I have the option to just move on. I don't get upset or frustrated, or complain on top of it, I just move on. This is a very good site, with plenty of folks with great information.

Do the software upgrade they are offering. It helped mine (did not stop it completely), but did make a noticeable difference. I am curious why they are saying a few days, mine was only in for a full day.

There is a cable that releases the hook to the two seat parts. After time the ends that connect to the hooks loosen and do not effectively unhook the seat part. On my last truck I had to almost completely take the seat apart to adjust the ends, but it did the trick. Have not done it on a DJ but I am guessing it is pretty much the same.

Help. 2009 Dodge Journey won't start when hot.
Armando G replied to Billy Estrella's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
By start back up, do you mean nothing comes on at all, or just the engine will not start? Will the radio and interior lights work after you shut down? If just the engine, try to start it in neutral. If it starts, then it is probably an electrical safety feature not responding correctly (apparently on the door?). If nothing is starting, there are other possible issues. -
Just Bought Used 2015 Dodge Journey SXT
Armando G replied to NewJourneyFan's topic in Owner Impressions
Rental cars are fine as far as I'm concerned. I have bought 3 'used to be' rental cars and they have lasted me a very long time with no issues at all (other than a couple of scratches from people not being careful). I just helped my daughter buy her first car from Hertz car sales. Car is in amazing shape and she paid over $3000 below market. They also through in additional warranty coverage because, according to them, they are that confident in their cars. The car runs great. I assume most of us are smart enough to check the car out before buying, regardless of rental or not. Nice that you got the carfax. -

Keep in mind that company name is usually for tax purposes. I had two of my cars under my business name, but one was really a family car ( =-O sshhh). Anyway, 43K is right about where I am so I would think it was not over-driven. Welcome and enjoy the trip. -
Just Bought Used 2015 Dodge Journey SXT

Have a 2015 myself and have gone on 3 long trips in the last two years (one with a trailer). Happy to say, no problems at all. Now, if you bought one with a ton of miles on it, no promises. If it's been mis-treated, no promises. If it is average miles and well taken care of, you should be fine. I like the fact that it's quiet and has good power (mine is a V6). I also enjoyed using the manual shift going over twisty mountains, worked great. Have a great trip! -
That is an expensive list, in my opinion, not a long list. Yes, dealer prices are going to be more expensive. Yes, get a second opinion. Yes, if work is needed it can be done for much cheaper, mostly if you can do some of it yourself (wipers?). No, probably not out of the ordinary. Depending on where you live, the weather you live in, and your driving style, things do wear out (gaskets, rubber seals, etc). If transmission pan leak is from the gasket - a gasket will not cost more than $20 and transmission fluid to refill. If leaking because of something else, aren't the engine and powertrain parts covered for 100,000 miles? Power take off seal - what the hell is that? Rear axle seal leak - is this not covered in the powertrain 100K warranty? Rear toe - Did this another one of my vehicles and it was less than $200 (plus alignment I believe)...Journeys must be very different Wipers - Costco Anyway, get a second opinion/price quote and good luck.

That look very nice. If you don't mind, what was the total cost for rims and tires? My tires are due for a change and I am really thinking of upgrading my 17's.

Glad to help.

Amen to jkeaton. Maybe an increase in a supped up street racer...not daily drivers.

First inclination is a failing thermostat not allowing the coolant to flow properly. Next thing to check, see if your passenger side floor mats are wet (or that area). You may have a leak in your heating system. Finally, check your water pump for leaks. They are sometimes a slow drip that get bigger when you are driving and when you stop the heat of the engine burns the leak before it even hits the ground. You will need to visually inspect it while someone else revs the car up when it is warm. As far as your engine light, most auto parts stores will check it for free. It may lead to something completely different. Good Luck...

Nice, success story that cost you nothing. Now I have to listen to mine in case I didn't notice it :-/

Two ways...Water and White Vinegar mix (2/3 water), or hard water spot remover from auto parts store (most do work as long as the spots haven't been there for days). In either case, make sure the car is cool to the touch before doing.

Year old post being revived...interesting. Regardless of size, it's nice to have that third row. If anything you can fit two kids comfortably, or one full size adult sitting a little sideways (for leg room). Plenty of head room back there, and the seats do slide up to make it easier to get back there. In competitors cars you have to climb, twist, and shimmy your way back there.

Thanks for taking the time to write positive reviews of your DJ's. It really makes me feel good about my investment and choice to go with the Journey. I still feel that for the price, you are getting a great car that is comparable to other similar models selling for 2 to 3 times the price.
