That is the hitch wire plug. You need to buy the $70-$85 harness and get it flashed for another $75-$100 depending on where you are. Using the Curt wiring harness is cheaper and easy to install.

13' 2.4 leaking at thermostat housing

If you want to be thorough (and you should in this case), you should remove it and inspect it. The gasket could have pinched, there may be some debris at the point of contact, or the part may have failed itself. Putting a bandaid on this type part is never a good thing, and you will be in there fixing it again soon anyway. I assume you cleaned both surfaces before installing it but sometimes sh#$ happens. -
Welcome, and yes those are the steps. I don't believe you have to remove the entire dash to check them. Plenty of videos and advise out there, mostly on this site.

Dodge Journey EGT sensor correct oem number
Armando G replied to Lado's topic in Engine & Transmission
Remember, never hurts calling your local dealer and asking if they will give you the right part number. Whoever you are buying it from should be able to cross reference it. -
Cruise Control Button On/Off not working - "Love-Tap Fix"
Armando G replied to NavalLacrosse's topic in Interior
Try just cleaning the connection before changing it out. Sometimes it's just a bad connection that is helped by a "love tap". -
This was all I kept thinking after reading through this entire thread. Slight vibration, every once in a while (probably at a certain speed) usually points to this. Happened with my old Ford and the guy said... oh, one weight fell off. Yeah, ok. Let us know...

Hmmm... let me guess, friend came over, figured it our for her, and she moved on with life. One post wonder...

Could it be true?!?! I like the look if it happens. Found this post on FB. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2023-dodge-journey-suv-revival-rendered-with-american-styling-italian-chassis-145691.html

Watch any video on changing the pan and follow the instructions. They're almost all the same. Make sue you buy one with a gasket... and I would buy new screws. If you can't find all the screwed, use the new one add a reference Ann's clean out the old gasket stuff.

Door key sets off alarm
Armando G replied to jtcowman's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
Are you able to start it without the FOB being present? I have the push button, so I have to have the FOB, so just curious on yours. -
Welcome... caught your post on FB earlier. Good looking DJ. My first Dodge after a long line of Fords, and been happy so far.

I would be interested in seeing a snapshot of what you did here. Did you happen to document the work? -
driver side tail light doesnt work
Armando G replied to DECK55's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Nice. Out of curiosity, did you try just removing the fuse before disconnecting? -
driver side tail light doesnt work
Armando G replied to DECK55's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
If you have the Curt wiring harness, you may also try taking the fuse for the harness off at the battery terminal. This powers off the resistor... assuming you have the LED lights. Or as stated above, disconnect it all to see if it makes a difference. -
No fault code, feels like a stumbling or miss...
Armando G replied to Matthew's topic in Engine & Transmission
Could be something as simple as proper gap on the plugs or old wires not handling the power. More info would be helpful. -
About a week later and no reply from OP. Guess he fixed it, or not that important. Frustrating part of forums

Ok, here we go... - Don't know the size, but here is a link to the part # https://parts.northpointchryslerjeep.net/oem-parts/mopar-hex-head-bolt-and-coned-washer-mounting-6509210aa?c=bT0xJmw9MyZuPVJlY29tbWVuZGVkIFByb2R1Y3RzJms9MQ%3D%3D - Removing the broken one can be done by attaching an extension piece with Krazy Glue or JB Weld and patiently unscrewing with a wrench. Otherwise drill it out carefully without ruining the thread. -YES, change the gasket Did you get the drain plug out? Or are you doing an oil change by removing the pan? You may want to consider just getting a new pan. If the drain plug was over tightened, it may develop a leak if the threads were warped.

So when you go to start it what exactly happens? Does the engine try to start? Does nothing happen? Do you just hear a clicking sound? If we take it step by step (without actually being there) you may get some better help. Knowing this I can give you better options on what to look at or test.

And now for something completely different.....
Armando G replied to OhareFred's topic in Owner Impressions
Good to hear. Did the invoice show how much it would have cost if you had to pay for it all? And is the warranty mentioned an extended warranty?
