  1. My point of "banging" is to hear rattling or anything inside it. Sorry but I don't have $1600 laying around for 2 new cats just for it to might work. I just want to get more input before I dump alot of $$ into it.
  2. I will get the codes from my husband when he gets home he has the code reader.
  3. John, my husband has put his code reader on it but it's throwing a code for a cat. We've looked at them banged on them a bit and made sure everything checked out. Just doesn't seem like the "symptoms" indicate that's it's either of the cats. P.s. the cats seemed fine when we looked at them. No rattling or low air coming though exhaust. Just didn't seem to add up and I'd hate to spend $1600 for 2 cats for it to not work in the end ?
  4. Thank you oharefred I will check into that. Mine does that same thing shifts right into R but as soon as I shift into D it stalls and dies. It can be 90° or 30° it just doesn't like D
  5. You could try tapping the starter. Mine just needed a little "hay wake up" tap a few weeks after buying it and it hasn't gone bad yet.
  6. I have a 2009 Dodge journey SXT 3.5 l v6. For quite some time now both me my husband and my father have been racking our brains on what is going on with my car. It goes into reverse, neutral, Park, first through six but when I put it and drive it stalls out and dies. it used to only stall out and die when I came to a stop sign or stop light. recently it can't make it out of my driveway without stalling and dying. We replaced the EGR valve, the entire gas foot pedal (which I know has a sensor in it). But it still does the same thing. when we replaced the foot pedal it helped for a little while but then proceeded to get worse. my husband seems to think that it might be a fuel issue but we have no clue what it might be. if you've had this same issue and we're able to fix it please help me out. it's my family vehicle and I desperately need it to be on the road again. Thanks!
