  1. Well, after a return to the mechanic I ended up with free parts and labor but have a new radiator and fan with motor, due to the mechanic missing some stuff with the diagnostics. Nor it runs between 195 and 210. I have had the car for 3 yrs and it has never ran that cool so it is pretty nice. Thank you all for your help.
  2. Well after spend some money this weekend for new water pump, upper hose assembly with thermostats and serpentine belt it helped a little but still heats up to about 230/240. Will be taking it back to the shop for a different mechanic to take a look and see what else could be wrong. I am now almost thinking it could be the block temp sensor.
  3. Yes, it was heating up before I took it to get a flush done, I did that thinking it would help but did not. Yes both gauges are readying the same temp. There are no signs of leaks when it comes to the water pump, hoses, radiator or anything else associated, and radiator is full check it every couple of days just to make sure. I will start with looking into changing out the coolant assembly since I am able to do a lot of mechanics on my own lol. Thank you everyone for providing assistance. I will let you know the out come. I have had the car for 3 yrs and I know none of the small wear and tear thing haven't been replaced for a while at this time.
  4. It is a 4 cyl 2.4L, it was just flushed in July/August, it has both a gauge as well as a digital and it has 129500
  5. Hello, I have a 2014 Dodge Journey and here lately the temp has been running a little higher than normal. When I turn on my A/C it seems as if it helps at times but others it seems it is causing it to run hotter. If I am still at a light it seems to go down in temp but when I am driving for long periods of time if seems to also run hotter. I recently have started using my heater which has help with the temp and it stays at a lower temp. I have no leaks and radiator and overflow is filled where needs to be. Any ideas on where to being?
