I just replaced my left head on my 2015 dodge journey sxt 3.6l myself. Got tge new hear from gearheads in Texas. Look up motor city mechanics on you tube they have an excellent video series on replacing the left head. My mechanic wanted 6 grand to do both heads...in my opinion these journeys are junk. Mine only has 92000 on it. I now have a P219b code I can't seem to fix after replacing all injectors on the bank b side, new o2 sensors and map sensor.

Ok, so I've been receiving this code for sometime now. Took it to autozone to have scanned on their scanner. They told me that it's saying it's a fuel injector issue. So I ran a couple bottles of cleaner thru it. Code still comes up. So then I replaced all the washers on the injectors, code still coming up. So I replaced all 3 injectors on the bank b side and ran a multi meter on the injector connection, all three test good. Well once again code has come up. I've replaces both o2 sensors before all this and the map sensor....any ideas for me? I'm ready to roll this hunk of crap off a cliff.

Oh and yes it is running smooth....before I replaced the head it was not.

Thank you John. Two things I should have noted were I replaced both o2 sensors and the map sensors back around October when I started having issues with this hunk of junk. I was getting the P0306 code so that's when I went in and changed spark plugs, coils and the fuel injector on cylinder 6....then I kept getting the po306 code and then got the p219b code as well back then.....after doing all I could, I took it to my mechanic who then did several tests and told me the head was bad....

So I just replaced the head on the bank 2 side. Ran great for 2 days, then today the engine light came on and the corresponding code it gave was P219b.... no other codes. I've visually inspected all connections I can see as well as looked for any soot I could see from the catalytic converter and all of the exhaust. All connections are solid and I saw no soot. I'm gonna take it down to the valve cover tomorrow to inspect that and all coil and injector connections. Any ideas on what I should look for as well? Would a not tight valve cover possibly create this code? I tightened it down to the specs and pattern it said to do so.

I just replaced the left head on my journey. Marked all the timing on the cam shaft bearings, the timing chain, cam bearing caps and camphors. Got it back together with all my marks aligning except the arrows on the camphors are a little off. I'd say they are maybe a 1/4" off at the most. Question 1. Is it necessary for the arrows to be perfectly aligned when every thing else is aligned? Question 2. How do I line them up without messing up all my other marks? Will I have to release the tensioner again and start over? Thanks for your responses in advance.
