  1. I know this is an old post, But anyways, just so you know the Mopar DJ cross bars do not lock. so even if you have a locking cargo thing attached to the crossbars, it could still be removed by removing the cross bars. Just giving you some info from someone that has OEM cross bars. Peace.
  2. yes sir you were correct, with the decoders it made my DRL full strength high beams. so I removed them and sent them back to amazon. I had to try it out. Now I know.
  3. because it makes the car look better. if you made it too dark it would cut down on what people can see, but for those of us that have LED tail lights, a light smoke color tint would look sweet.
  4. I actually have the same question, I want to tint my back tail lights, of the same colored DJ, I found this on amazon, https://www.amazon.com/VViViD-Air-Tint-Headlight-Taillight-Air-Release/dp/B01GQRQ996/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B01GQRQ996&th=1
  5. Well it did flicker a little bit, Nothing like what other people were reporting. I did add the decoders to the high beams only. I haven't been in a position to test it out yet.
  6. they are absolutely running with less current and are not as bright as they are when you flip the bright switch. why they use the bright lights as DRL is beyond me. I don't know why they just wouldn't have the low beams do this but whatever. we will see what happens when i add the adapter
  7. I discovered something today about LED lights and flickering. The Journey uses the high beams as its running light at a lower voltage. LED lights do not dim, or the ones I have don't. so the flicker with half the power. as soon as the get full power they do not flicker any more, its only during the day time running lights. this is just what I have noticed on my 2018 AWD SRT DJ so I bought one of the resistor cables, I will have it tomorrow so I will see what that does. it isn't really a big deal it just bugs me now that I know.
  8. What is this SRT radio thing you are talking about please??
  9. I guess I just got lucky, I knew nothing about them until after I bought them.
  10. if you really want to see it you may need a codec for whatever player you are using. in you download (VLC media player) and open it with that you will be able to watch it. then again I have no idea what you are watching it on.
  11. I had no issues at all with ones in got off of Amazon for under $40
  12. I am just wondering if anyone has done this? I would like to update my small touch screen for a larger OEM Mopar screen. I found this company but it all seams very expensive, or is it? I just want to know if anyone has done this, or if there is a better and possibly cheaper way to get this done? https://www.infotainment.com/collections/oem-dodge-journey-navigation-radios/products/2011-2018-dodge-journey-gps-navigation-rb5-8-4n-radio?variant=492328017
  13. I had a mobile company come out to my house, sell me a new fob and program it all in my driveway. it was expensive, and they need the correct wires. it stretches from the ODB port to the panel behind and next to the rear passenger seat behind the driver. the panel needs to be pulled away from the door to access a connector. the wires are then placed into the correct wires to program the key fob. first i tried to have it done at a local shop but they couldn't figure t out.
  14. Here is a very short video of my lights against my garage door. this is my LED lights in action. IMG_5090.MOV
  15. When you say flickering what exactly do you mean? I have seen people complaining about them going out. Or out and on. they are not doing that at all. my 9005 are autoone. They were around $30 on Amazon. I got them because they are the same shape as the OEM light and don’t have a dongle. These are the high beams. I don’t believe they have any flicker. But they are rarely on. the 9006 I got for free from my son. They are Forscher. I don’t know where he got them or the cost. And they do have a dongle and are supposed to be flicker free. Or so he says. I can’t tell. Maybe a slight rapid flicker. It’s not very noticeable if at all. These are the low beams and are on most of the time there is mention of decoders/resistors in the instructions. But I’m not using these for any of the lights. and the fog lights are Alla, another inexpensive Amazon order. And they do not flicker at all. I wanted different types so I could see what difference they make. it’s only been a few days so far. but I am enjoying them a lot.
  16. I got my OEM cross bars at the local junk yard for $40. they were perfect OEM MOPAR cross bars. the thing is that I just bought some off of eBay about a week before for $120. needless to say I ended up selling the extra pair for $60. I just couldn't pass them up at the scrap yard.
  17. Yes I just replaced all of mine, LED High beam 9005 Low beam are 9006 and fog lights are 2504 you can find all of these on amazon for under $50 each set.
  18. I never noticed these cars before, But now that I have one I see them everywhere. I guess that's just the way it works. I bought a 2018 AWD SXT. the only issue was a broken glove compartment hinge, So we went to a junk yard and cut the section out of the inner dash board, went home cut out the broken one, bolted in the new one added some JB weld plastic on either end, And now it is as good as new. a dealership wanted to charge me $800 to fix the problem. I did it for under $10
  19. hello everyone. I recently bought a 2018 Dodge Journey AWD SXT with only 30K miles on it. I have already switched out all of the lights to LED, Low, High and Fog, got a locking gas cap, & roof rack cross bars. The next thing i would like to do is replace the small touch screen for the 8 plus NAV. So far I am loving this car.
