  1. Good Evening I took my 2009 Dodge Journey SXT to get the oil changed today, I do it beacuse they offer a 54.95 deal for four oil changes. You can't buy he supplies for that price. Lately I have had a vibration sometimes from the right front. So while there I had the dealer look. They called me up and said it was the crossover pipe, first they said it would be covered under warranty but then realized I am out of warranty. They said the pipe was vibrating against the subframe. They said it was no big deal, and wouldn't hurt anything but if I want to fix it, the cost would be $200 total for parts and install. I had thought there was some kind of recall or something on this before. Anyone recall anything about this. Thanks
  2. It is Chrysler Customer Assistance, just call the number on the website to get a claim started.

  3. Hey I read your post about your dead battery on your '09 Journey. I too had the same issue and the dealer told me the same thing; that I was out of warranty and out of luck. Where did you send your e-mail to at Chrysler, I figure it can't hurt to try for some money back!

    Thanks,

    Brian

  4. I had to have my 2009 towed to the dealer, they said it was a bad battery only after 38,000 miles. They wouldn't cover under warranty. I did email Chrysler and their customer service did end up reimbursing me for the cost minus a $25 fee... Mind you the battery in my 2002 Jeep went from 2002 until 2009 before it needed replacement.
  5. I had a small stone chip by my back door and got the touch up paint from the dealer. It worked well. Its no longer a brush but a roller tip type thing and unless you really really look hard you cannot see it
  6. The computer is set from the factory to advise the first oil change early, due to break in. After that my average is about 4100 miles. We Have little over 13k on the clock now. But we have owned ours since June 08. I realize times have changed and allows for longer service lifes, etc. But I just have had it ingrained in my brain since I learned to do my first oil change years ago every 3000 miles. I have waited out on the Journey for the computer to tell me, but I wouldn't go past 4500 without having to change it based on my own mindset LOL.
  7. I went to my dealer to try and get steel wheels and was told that if I put smaller tires on my SXT AWD then my 19" I would void my warranty. Does anyone have a part number on the rims? 16 or 17"
  8. It happens on alot of cars, not just the Journey. Sometimes on an incline the increased load of the vehicle basically sittting back if you will on its internal mechanisms causes a clunk or drive train noise. The reason you don't get it on flats is the load is evenly distributed and not cause force on the drivetrain.
  9. This has happened to others. It has been attributed at least once to a connector in the switch pod not being pushed in all the way.
  10. Ours did the same thing a few times, they did the update and said it should be good. But when the Fiance went to drive it away from the dealer it did it again. She went right back in and they ordered us a complete new audio unit and controller??, should be in next week. Radio is working fine now though. They did give us a coupon for our next oil change for free though!! Which is great our first oil change was a thank you freebie, and the next is free now too!!
  11. We are averaging about 22-24 mixed driving with our V6 SXT V6
  12. We have the nav system in our Journey and love it. I don't think the voice command is that slow at all. So glad we went with the Nav, the screen up top makes all the diffrence.
  13. I dunno this whole scuffing and acetone thing makes me think it will make more damage than what I wanna protect it from. I am really surprised though that Dodge didn't put a rubber scuff pad or something on there
  14. I have the 19" wheels and love the chrome polish look. Ididn't have a choce as we bought an awd. I think the ride is great. I am not looking forward to buying replacements though, and I am wondering about when I buy winter tires as I am in New Hampshire. I was wondering if it would be possible to buy some 17" steel wheels and mount winters on them for my winter set. Not sure if I could run 17"s on a Journey that came with 19"
  15. Is this on all dodge Journeys or just something your dealer does?
