  1. Hi again, you can also try "www.dodgedownunder.com.au" for a more local view, there is a "Journey" section within the site, I'm with them as well under the same name, there are some stories of dealers promising & not delivering on times but armed with information on other peoples issues & talking to your dealer, should have no worries, they not all bad!!!...

  2. Hi Pink, overall vey happy with our Journey, had some delivery issues, promised dates, getting desparate at the end, so we changed colour & got a deepwater blue SXT in 2 days right on xmas eve, drove it to sunshine coast 3 days later!!!

Had worn out (no vibrations or other issues) front brakes replaced under warranty 19800ks no troubles at all, economy not as good as quoted...

  3. Hi Jon, here in OZ, we don't get manual journeys, but our handbrake is the same, opposite side of console,& have to pull it up to your armpit!! yes it's near useless!!!!. Lucky the park also helps to hold on a slope, but it's the poorest handbrake i've ever had.
  4. Check pages 6&7 of service & warranty book, clearly says pads & discs covered 20000km along with other things. I had no trouble getting it done no charge!!!! even not from the selling dealer. It may be common to wear so soon, but not normal but is a comon problem. Don't accept anything other than no cost replacement, show them the book to jog their memory. I've gone to Parramatta Chysler/Jeep/Dodge for my service & brake fix, far closer to Castle Hill than Sutherland!!! Good Luck, hope this helps
  5. UPDATE! Pads & discs changed on 26/09, 19800ks & under warranty, also did software update RRT09/100, under a recall! Must have soft pads & discs for both to wear as soon as they have, did not see pads, but discs were worn in around 4-5mm from original surface looking at the lip on discs. So I'll be keeping a close eye on these to see how they wear! Gave them a good bedding in on way home, hopefully they have another 20k warranty on new parts ( they should have!! ).
  6. Hi Mark, 2.7 V6 petrol standard here, wish we had 3.5 the Nth Americans get, it's a little underpowered when I have my 3 teenagers + 8yo & luggage loaded but really gets going when the "cams come in" at 3500rpm, till 6200 redline. Also not that economical around the 'burbs', lucky to get 15lt/100km. The diesel is same unit you have with Getrag DSG 6sp which has a fair bit more torque than the V6. All only front drive here, we also get space saver spare. Regards Michael
  7. Greetings from OZ (not summer here!!), seems like you guys in UK have same spec cars we get in Aust, but we only get R/T with CRTD option, SXT & R/T with 2.7 V6 Just have a question. do you have a left foot rest for driver???, it's the frustrating thing missing from otherwise good car, as you can agree with after your recent trip. Thanks Michael

  9. As combination reply from "down under", as my first auto car for some years, I find the auto not too bad, sometimes needs a good shove on pedal, then goes down 2 gears and takes off, if pushed too far. Coming from manual shift cars I like to use the stick shift & select myself, seems to work very well, & with foot buried to floor can change gears before revs get too high. Can be real clunky on quicker stops while it selects lower gears, worse when in manual mode!! Have not had noises when on cruise downhill, but when in D, it will downshift on it's own trying to hold speed going downhill. sep 09 build, SXT 2.7 FWD model
  10. I've got an SXT 2.7,V6, 6sp auto, it's the cruise trying to keep speed down by downshifting, sometimes I will manually select 5th to save transmission "hunting" between 5th+6th, also helps with keeping speed downhill, by changeing down before hill. 6th seems to be good for dead flat running, soon as you accelerate a bit, it unlocks + revs the same as locked 5th anyway. Hope this helps.
  11. Found this site looking for brake issues!! Have blue SXT 2.7lt flexfuel 24/12/09, driven to Sunshine coast 27/12/09 (2700km round trip) Great car, brake wear may be an issue, would like better consumption around town currently around 15lt/100km, have not seen better than 9.2lt/100km on a trip
  12. I've got one too, there is info in manual,( pg 190-193 in white book) also recommends running different oil but doesn't say what!!!! Can't find servo in Sydney that sell E85!!!
  13. G'day, have same SXT, brakes squeaking at carpark speeds from around 9-10000km, 12000k service said they "cleaned" brakes, still squeaking though. Also said 40% front pads left + 50% rear, not supprising seeing amount of dust on wheels. Now have 17000km front discs have large lip on them too, + have grinding noise only when cold. Only getting 15-16lt/100km consumption, (not happy with that!!). Built sept/09, delivered sydney dec/09
