Just received my letter. Replaced front pads/rotors @ 36000km and 24 1/2 months. Work was done at an independant garage. Replaced rear pads/rotors a week later at the dealer. Suspected a seized rear caliper, and garage recommended going to dealer in case it was warranty. Dealer said it wasn't seized. Will be calling the 1-800 number asap. See if I get any of my $800 back.

I have a 5 seat model, but if I remember correctly, the 7 seaters don't have the brackets to hang the cover from.

I got my Journey without the cabin air filter, and just picked one up at the dealership. I'm in Canada, and it was only around $25.

It may be the dealers choice, but when I was shopping I went to 3 or 4 and all of them used nitrogen.

If they're filled with Nitrogen (which I though they all are or should be), temperature shouldn't make a difference. It was -29C (-20F) here yesterday morning, and mine didn't have a problem.

We already had this conversation a couple of months ago. From the factory, the Journey comes with 2 small indents in the front bumper where screws can be tapped. Any brackets/mounts are added by the dealers or aftermarket.

#1. Never noticed that before. I don't think it will be a problem though, as anything that gets in can drain out the bottom. #2. This is a very common placement for a spare. Most larger vehicles have it there: pick-ups, vans. It shouldn't rust any more than any steel wheels in use would.

If you don't have steering wheel controls, just hold down the button that you use to switch from temperature to fuel mileage. It will also change mileage from/to l/100km and mpg

The transmission is going into what is called 'limp mode'. When there are certain problems with the engine or transmission, this will happen to prevent further damage to the vehicle. You will need to get the codes read to determine the original problem. In a previous vehicle, I experienced this when the transmission went bad, and in another when the head gasket failed. If your dealer can't get you in for something like this in less than a week, you might want to look at another dealer.

I think you guys will have some difficulty with that. My situation is a little bit different: I don't have the third row, so my second row is a little different. With a booster seat on either side, it barely leaves room for us to fold down the center piece (with the cup holders), and slide our hand between it and the booster to fasten the seat belt. I can't imagine getting 3 infant/booster seats across. I think you would be hard pressed to find any new vehicle these days that could accomodate that situation.

Strange, my SXT has no such hole.

Top bring this thread back on topic, the side moldings are now on the Mopar site under: Exterior--Exterior Appearance--Chrome Molding. Price is $216 per set.

I don't know about people having problems getting one that were supposed to, but I have a different story. I wasn't going to pay $500 for the convenience package to get the cover as I really don't care about the other items in the group, and I specifically do not want a roof rack. When my Journey arrived at the dealer, the salesman gave me a sneak peek at it. I noticed a cover in the back. I thought I might be lucky, but when I returned to pick it up, the cover was gone. I'm hoping to see the cover in the accesory listing on the Mopar site soon.

Picked it up on Wednesday. So far, all is well. I couldn't be happier with it.

An accessory added by the dealer, not at the factory. I just saw mine at the dealership today. Two screws, no bracket or plastic frame.

From the Canadian Brochure: Second Row - Two integrated childbooster seats (included with Family Value Group) SE - Package SE Plus - Package SXT - Option R/T - Option Family Value Group - Includes Premium cloth low-back bucket seats with YES Essentials seat fabric, manual driver's seat lumbar adjuster, second row seat with two integrated child booster seats. Note: Dual integrated child booster seats are available as a free standing option on SXT and R/T. On the SE/SE Plus, the Family Value Group is $375. They don't show a price for the Boosters on an SXT or R/T.

That may be a dealer add-on. Factory is just the 2 holes.

If you go to the gallery above, and see the pictures in the owner's gallery, Scott4751 has photos with what appears to be the front 'bracket'. Doesn't look like much of a bracket, more like holes.

SXT with no extras. Ordered July 10th, and it is on the train heading north. I think from other comments on here, the holdups have been AWD and 3rd row seating.

Just looking on the dodge.ca site, as I am expecting my Journey to arrive in a couple of weeks*, and I noticed a price drop. The SXT is $1000 less than before. I'm not sure about the R/T, I don't know what the original price was. On top of that, if you go to the payment calculator it shows a $500 'Free Ride' rebate on all Journey models. *Estimated ship date 8/20.

Just got off the phone with Chrysler customer service. Rep I spoke too hadn't heard of anything for the Journey. She passed me on to the rebates dep't. Rebate rep told me the only rebate/incentive for the Journey was under the Employee pricing program, which doesn't help me.
