Posting again because I still haven’t found the issue.. sorry to keep you hanging. I’m getting frustrated because my lights now are now not working more than they are. And with the weather changing and sunset coming earlier it is very inconvenient. If anyone has any tips please let me know. my battery is less than a year old but I will have it looked into as well as the alternator as previous commenter suggested. Thanks! -

I am back to having this issue again. Whenever this issue arises usually tightening battery cables does the trick but my husband just went out there and did it and said they are tight. So not sure how else to fix the issue now. Any help is appreciated!!!! and this is a decently new battery -

Hi have you found any solution to this issue?! My 2010 dodge Journey is having this exact same issue all the way down to the battery draining and I have no idea what it is causing it. Thanks in advance!! -

A recent issue I’ve come across with my car is that if I lock my doors on my journey and leave them locked (overnight for example) it drains my battery completely dead. I can jump start the battery and it will be just fine and as long as I leave the doors unlocked the battery is fine. The battery is brand new (I bought a new battery because I originally thought it was a battery issue). What could be causing this issue? How do I fix this?

I’m sorry to leave you hanging!! The fix was actually easy.. we tightened up the cables to the battery and it fixed the issue and no problems since. I hope this helps!!! -

Update - I have found out that the headlights do not have a fuse or relay and that they run off the engine control module. A mechanic in the family recommended to completely unplug the battery and touch the positive and negative together to reset the module in hopes that it will fix the issue. Can anyone give any thoughts?? I want to go ahead and note that we have tried replacing the bulbs, and tried replacing the light switch in the steering column and nothing has worked thus far. I’m at such a loss. -
The headlights on my 2010 dodge journey SXT are not working. When I turn them on they will flash on then go right back off. Same for high beam lights. All other lights on the car are working. All research I have done is pointing to faulty fuse/relay however when I look at my owners manual AND at the fuse box I am unable to locate the fuse or relay that is for the headlights. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it? I am at a loss and really need this fixed asap!
