  1. The problem is that the fender liner piece is on wrong. It should be sitting on that plastic strip on the fender. Not behind it. So push pins won't work correctly. To fix it, remove that small separate piece of the fender liner and place it over the fender strip that the push pins clip into. .
  2. You can do this. What holds the liner and most of the plastic parts to the vehicle. Is plastic trim push pins. Any type of push pin that fits the hole. Will work. This kit below has both kinds either type that fits securely works. The kit also includes the removal tools. Just get a light to see in the fender well. Turn the tire until you can find the hole. https://a.co/d/g1GwcC5
  3. On my 2016 DJ. With the headlights turned on. The interior light dimmer control does dim both screens.
  4. I would get it scanned by someone with a bi-directional scanner. That can communicate with all the modules on the journey. To prevent further collateral damage.
  5. 2016 2.4 L. Here is a post, I made with Dodge service information. Read the entire thread. https://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/18296-charging-system-101-with-diagrams/
  6. Read my thread on the battery: https://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/18210-electrical-system-fyi-battery/
  7. Haynes has a printed book available 2011-2020 DJ. $49.99 USD. 2.4 and 3.6 engines. Excellent pictures and Dodge factory diagrams. Online digital manual $39.99. You choose the engine type upon purchase. Wiring diagrams as well. https://us.haynes.com/collections/vehicle-results?filter.p.m.filter.vehicle_model_types=3.6+V6+Gas+(ERB)&filter.p.m.filter.vehicle_make=Dodge&filter.p.m.filter.vehicle_model=Journey&filter.p.m.filter.searchable_years=2016&filter.p.m.filter.vehicle_type=car&filter.p.m.filter.vehicle_type=passenger
  8. Using a capable scanner. Run the crank / camshaft relearn procedure.
  9. I would get it scanned for codes. With a scanner that scans all the modules. I wouldn't rely on the dash warning lights alone. Better to eliminate all possibilities. The 3.5 has a EGR valve. Remove it and clean out all the exhaust passages on it.
  10. You need to have it scanned with a higher level scanner. One that can communicate with all the modules. The module that runs the display screen is called the TGW - Telematics Gateway module. It has a list of codes for it. Do this and post the codes. Then, I can check my resources.
  11. On my 2016 DJ, I wanted to paint the rails. Remove the end caps, you have 2 bolts that stick up through the roof. All these bolts are basically one time use factory bolts. They don't have full threads machined on the bolt itself. I loosened one nut up an could see it wouldn't tighten properly. If I removed the nut completely. I hand brush painted the rails. Left the other bolts and nuts alone. The one nut, that I did loosen did not fully tighten. Just snug. So to remove all 4 nuts. Would not work. They are not going to hold the rails tight to the roof.
  12. Read my thread on the battery. https://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/18210-electrical-system-fyi-battery/
  13. If you haven't run the engine with out the serpentine belt on the engine. Since your repairs. I would run the engine until the noise is occuring. With the belt on. Remove the belt and run it a few minutes. Under the same load. To eliminate any possibility of the AC clutch or water pump pulley. Being your problem.
  14. I would check everything that is run by the serpentine belt. Check all your engine fluid levels. Need a second opinion on this thought: Could you run the engine for a few minutes without the serpentine belt on it? To see if you hear the noise then. Only when the engine is cold, you do not want to overheat the engine.
  15. There is TB relearn procedure required after you replace it. It's a function on higher level, bi-directional scan tools.
  16. First thing to check with a battery drain. (parasitic draw). Remove the fuse marked HFM. Located in the Interior fuse panel located up and underneath the glove box. Also check for the glove box light staying on. Unplug it.
  17. For cheap and easy: I would replace the battery sensor. Check and clean all battery cable connections and grounds. Read these threads on doing that. https://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/18210-electrical-system-fyi-battery/ https://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/18374-electrical-system-fyi-ground-system/
