  1. Mine has been as high as 45 C. Around -29 C Windchill. I was stuck in snow with the Traction control turned off. I could smell the transmission odour while rocking back and forth. Got out once I shovelled away snow behind band front of wheels.
  2. Although I never had these symptoms I can say a radiator can get dirty. Rural road dust. I was surprised. What I did was remove mine and replaced it (nine years old possibly) (it can be done without disturbing freon charge). A sticking ("cold" 75 C) thermostat (MIL) The engine oil temperature was ten degrees cooler. Replacement in the Fall when the MIL appeared again now the thermostat stays from 80 C to 90 C in Winter months. So no longer stuck.
  3. Me too so far 11 months. Received a lot of replies here in this forum to questions I had about the Journey operation and corrective maintenance made.
  4. Could someone change my post on Nov 16 to: "What did you do to your Journey today" ? From my reply to drew blue Oct 27 post: "HVac (motor) fan spinning and still running cold air"
  5. Today I cleaned the rear motor squirrel cage in some water with motocraft cleaner. I hooked a spare battery to motor blade connectors alligator clips to get some turbidity. It was dirty. Cured my vibration inside. I set rear heat on automatic.
  6. Is there a 2025 Dodge Journey in the works ?
  7. I will remeasure for you, the bolts they gave in the box. My eyes are not good for vernier caliper after decimal. But for the two replacement bolts: 29.6 mm x 9.8 mm. (D 10.9 cap head)
  8. My vehicle has stopped for low fuel light. The MIL has been on for stuck thermostat. Both instances the Command start was aborted. (2015 D Journey Crossroad AWD ) with V-6 engine. Thanks for this answer too
  9. Ya the bolts (too wide) they gave me don't even fit the holes in the housing !
  10. OK I decided at plus six Celsius today to replace thermostat and housing as it has been stuck at 85 Celsius all Summer (code thrown). What I found out is that NAPA's replacement thermostat housing mounting holes and bolts are too big for my engine. (Dorman OE solutions Part No. 902_3036XD).My original (OEM) was 7 mm Dia. (Included metal bushings inside plastic housing) Now I was only able to use new thermostat, rubber seal, locking bracket and spring from ordered part C a u t i o n Please compare sizes before swapping out
  11. Still driving just over 160 K now. I am hearing or feeling rear (snow) tire jerking sound for a couple seconds when in drive on dry pavement and accelerating. Don't remember this happening in snow My PTU and rear differential fluid changes not till 190 K
  12. You didn't. No comment was required was what I meant
  13. All good responses. I would like the Durango for sure. Will have to wait for now, as I just bought a Journey in January 2024. Anybody disappointed with the 3.6 L in the Durango besides JKeaton
  14. Durango has caught my eye too, however they are about 800 lb heavier then my DJ. The info screen looks smaller and the engine in my trim level is the same as there's.
  15. I hope you will enjoy your Journey as I have mine for ten months now. I have spent about $ 300 in corrective maintenance. Brakes have not been touched at 159 500 KM Daniel
  16. You have ambition. Interested in choice of tire you get and whether you use Winter tires (what kind) Daniel
  17. Good to hear from you. I found some trim removal tools were handy to use and could help to dry out your carpet. I purchased at auto parts store. It helps to get four to six different tools in a set, because they can be used in other applications as well in the interior or wheel wells or fascia plastic rivets removal Daniel
  18. Like the colour. Didn't know the Journeys were shorter then their cousins. Haven't had mine in the garage yet. Daniel
  19. Good to hear your stable has a new arrival. Nine months in I am overall happy with mine. There is good advice here from people who have helped me adjust to a D Journey as well. There is little problem in a do it yourself oil change. I went with there recommended POL (SAE). My mirror moves to firm pressure as well. Haven't had to change air filter yet but looks easily done. Check all boots are not torn including ball joint rubber. Enjoy your ride.
  20. That is true. My surname was printed on sticker attached to bag with some UPC code below that. It was a yellow rectangular sticker with black letters and vertical black bars (assorted widths) below that
  21. Dear Sir: At the moment my steering wheel is now asymmetrical however my lower ball joints rubber is deteriorated to the point of seperation. Mopar parts will not be in till November and they have no grease nipples fitted(and I am not drilling or tapping the new ones). Presently the price for one premium ball-joint is $ 180. The others I don't even want to try eg $ 35 Mevotech, NAPA $ 127. My inner tie-rod (Mopar) came from Cheslovakia. Not interested in junk metal. My Journey is 15 years old and rubber parts are needing attention to replacement before I do an alignment.
