Interior lights coming on when braking just started this evening. I wish that disconnecting the battery would solve the problem but I am not willing to have my
2018 v6 crossroads towed to the dealership and that is exactly what would happen if I disconnect the battery with out some sort of back up charge
maintaining a constant charge for the computer controls. I found out the hard way about plugging a battery into the OBD port with a used but charged battery.
It doesn't require a full charge but a constant charge or the programing gets lost and reprogramming is needed after the new battery is installed.
Unfortunately I am on the vehicles 3rd battery for other reasons but you may want to double check to see if you have the programable
key less starting system and how important the backup power might be, unless you don't mind having the dealer or lock smith reprogram your car.
