Hello everyone. This is a great forum with lots of great info. Figured I’d give it a shot. 2.4L has cel for cylinder 3 misfire. I have been reading bout this issue so here goes
2015 Dodge Journey crossroad 2.4L
past 2 weeks
all new coil packs and spark plugs changed out twice
1st. set was Champion plugs/carquest premium coils. Pre-gapped but double checked
2nd. set was ngk plus/ngk coils. Pre-gapped but still double check
reset engine light both times. Would drive good for a day then after a sit, when we start it there’s a rough idle for about 15-30 seconds then car drives fine but has cel for cylinder 3.
3rd. Compression test great. Replaced all fuel injectors and rail. Checked wiring and grounds. Also went ahead and had valve cover gasket replaced. Drove great for about 2 days. Come outside to start her up and boom there goes the rough idle once again followed by cel
4th. Replaced manifold gasket and pvc valve. Drove good for about a day. Then issue right back
Today. Vacuum leak test. No leaks detected.
Car history. 1 owner car, 156k miles superior on the maintenance. Never ran hot.
any ideas out there??
