We have this issue as well and have for years. The lights will stop working intermittently for several weeks, then work for six months or a year before we have another flare up. The fog lights always work, it only affects the regular lights and high beams. We just got new headlights (the entire fixtures) as they were very cloudy, and a new switch for the steering column. According to OP, neither of these will fix the issue. We have also reset the TIPM before. I have taken it to an auto electrical specialist, but they won’t look at it unless we bring it in while the issue is happening. But it takes so long to get an appointment with them, that the issue has resolved by the time we can get it in. I think our next move is to send the TIPM to a specialist who can rebuild it. If anyone has found a fix in the meantime, let me know. Our 16 year old is the primary driver, so we have to go rescue whenever it happens.
