I have a 2014 journey AWD limited and had the same issue after returning home from a 9 hour trip. The day after returning home the battery light came on saying there was an issue with the power system and while driving everything went crazy. Dash board lit up like a christmas tree even wipers came on without me turning them on and then it died and wouldnt start again. Intitally thought it was the battery or battery sensor but turned out to be the alternator. I didnt let mine sit for too long. It was less than a week before i replaced the alternator. It started up just fine but its stuck in low battery mode. My menu on the dash doesnt list the options just shows arrows until you select one and then it will display what is should be under that heading. Screen is blank and nothing on the radio works. My climate control is stuck on A/C but only comes out the defrost so it fogs up the windshield constantly. I did have the radio set on bluetooth when it died so im not sure if that is why it doesnt work but im struggling to find a solution to this problem. Has anyone figured this out yet? Any tips would be appreciated cause winter is fast approaching and i have no way to defrost my windshield or turn on the heat in this car.
