I’m going to try to be as short as possible but I’m a few weeks into this issue. My journey first over heated about 3 weeks back. Looking under my hood I realized that the T connector for my lines coming out of the thermostat housing was broken. Bought replacement parts and fixed the connector and hosing. After replacing I realized I was still losing a lot of coolant and got codes to indicate the thermostat was bad. I replaced the front thermostat in the housing still had a leak. Checked with a camera and the leaking was coming directly from the housing. Replaced the entire housing both thermostats and the sensor and no more leak coolant was staying within my radiator cap and my coolant temp and oil temp remained steady for a test drive heat restored inside the car. I took it for a longer drive (about 5 miles up the road) and when I got out of the gas station it would not start. The battery isn’t dead the engine attempts to engage but it shakes and sputters then never actually starts. When I checked the temps my oil and coolant were acting normal but my trans temp showed as hot all the way to the top no temp reading. Got a tow and tried this morning. The trans temp is still reading at over hot with no temp listed and the engine still won’t turn over. I’m at a loss here and can’t go without a car.
