    We have had this clunk or bang noise also. We have installed a new rebuilt transmission, a rebuilt tranfer unit, new drive shaft,new tires new rear bearings and breaks. Still does it every now and then. The dodge mechanics don't hear it when we take it to the shop but it did break the end out of the transfer unit. We are thinking maybe something with the breaks now.
