Hello Hector, welcome to the Forums, lots of great knowledge here. I live several hundred miles north of you in Canada. I have a white 2010 Dodge R/T AWD loaded with every option that was available. Terry

This is what I do for the My Fuelly site at each tank full and it seems to work for me. As you can see I do it for both my cars. I write the mileage on the bill so that I can enter it once I am home (they offer an app for this so that I can do it immediatelly, but at home is fine), reset my trip odometers, reset the EVIC for each tank, basically I don't use it, but it does inform me of higher/lower gas mileage that I may be getting. I let the My Fuelly figure out and graph my results, I figure they are more accurate than me. This is just what I do..... your results may vary. Terry

Chris I still think you are much too high, I have got a best of 9.3 going up to your fair city, but I usually average middle 10's to low 11's on the highway and middle 15's around town but in the winter it has gone as high as 21. Once again you can look at the past 3 years of driving at: http://www.fuelly.com/driver/windancer/journey This to me is real world stuff because it includes warm up's in winter on our very cold days. Personally my EVIC has never matched or even come close to my actual mileage, if you are interested my car has been on my fuelly for 3 years and here are the results: http://www.fuelly.com/driver/windancer/journey Terry

I agree, winter tires are softer and may stop better. Terry

Welcome to the forum, at the risk of sounding biased, I have had the same good luck as Redtomatoman on my 2010 Journey R/T AWD. Terry

I tend to agree, is there a special reason you need winter tires? I'm definitely not saying it is wrong just curious. Last year we set a record here with over 2 meters of snow, my car even with the much maligned Kumho's performed very well in the deep snow. I have a 2010 R/T AWD and I was very happy with the AWD, seemed to go through anything I pointed it at. Terry

I have carried numerous items on my roof, ladders. windsurfers to kayaks. I would agree never use a bungie type of cord. In the past I have used straps with a proper clasp on them or as others have pointed out a ratcheting system. I was very happy with my roof rack system, so much so I sold all my Thule Stuff Terry

Well I did the inevitable yesterday. I replaced the OEM 225/55/19 Kumho tires with 235/55/19 Michelin Latitude HP's on my 2010 Journey R/T AWD. These tires were bought at Costco. I know in the past numerous members of this forum have had problems or incidents at Costco so I don't want to diminish their thoughts. I can't say if it was the tires, the car or even the Costco. This is just one person's experience and opinion. So far I only have maybe 60kms which isn't a lot I know, but I am very happy both with the tires and the Costco (Regina, SK.) Where's the wood to knock on? I have had no clearance problems having turned the steering wheel from lock to lock. I took the car out on a very undulating piece of the highway and the tires never rubbed when I went over these undulations. After all this I returned to Costco to have the lug nuts hand retorqued. My TPS monitor light stayed on the entire time but they advised me the TPS has to "relearn" everything, but when I took my dog out in the country this morning it never came on so that is great. The tires only had 40,000 kilometers on them, which dissappointed me somewhat. The new ones have a 90,000 km. warranty, but as someone who only averages 10-12,000 kms. per year, now splitting that over 2 cars, conceivably they could last me a long time. I was told that if I was putting winter tires on they would probably last another 10,000 kilometers but seeing as I have 2 cars and this one is mainly a winter vehicle they advised me that I should change the tires before all the snow flies. They look great IMO the sidewall seemes a little more vertical than the Kumho's filling out the wheelwell a little more but not very noticeable when compared to the OEM tires. They seem like very nice tires, once again with only 60 kms. on them, it is really hard to make a statement on them, ride very nice. If you have any questions just ask and I will try to answer them. Installed New Sidestep Running Boards...Ebay Brand

This is the set I got from my dealer, probably more money than the ebay set. -
If I know I will be totally driving on the highway, I may use premium gas as my 2010 R/T AWD SEEMS to get better mileage than using regular but I don;t have enough trips to speak confidently on this. Terry

Here is my 2010 R/T AWD, chrome mirror caps, chrome gas cap, chrome step bars, chrome sills, chrome R/T emblems on each fender, "chrome" Buick portholes, Hood mounted Bug Deflector, Sunroof Air Deflector, "chrome" edging on hood deflector, Sunroof Air Deflector and front valance. Terry

Drozz said; Hope you have better luck then I did, I tried a set of Michelin 235's from Costco, they didn't fit correctly and i have to have my old tires put back on Just curious what problems did you encounter? I must admit Costgo was the Plan 'B'. Terry

I am going to change out my tires in the next month or two on my 2010 Dodge Journey R/T AWD, the Kumho's will have approximately 42000-44000 km and would probably go another 10,000-15,000 kms, but I want new tires for the winter season. Not the best mileage but reasonable for an OEM tire where they seem to strive for ride as opposed to mileage. I am going to replace them with Michelins 235/55/19, the 225/55/19 size is still causing a bit of a concern, pricing and availability on this size is still way "out to lunch". As has been said numerous times Chrysler has endorsed this size. Terry

2012 DJ SXT with new hood and window deflectors
Windancer replied to Rubberdude88's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I have both the front hood air deflector and the sunroof air deflector in a smoked colour and I put "chrome" edging around it, a forum member (wish I could remember his name) mentioned he got a chrome one which I would imagine looks very good. Terry- 16 replies

This seems to be one of the biggest "bones of contention" with our Journeys. I know for 2009 & 2010 the manual suggests 3500# and the newer ones suggest only 2500#, I'll state right up front I AM NO EXPERT but as Journeyman425 said before me said He will not publicly condone towing over the limit, but the car seems more thancapable of towing more than it says. Now do you want to take that chance? As DodgeCaCares states there are many things that are factored into a tow rating and it is a very good guideline to follow. It is not a Ram Truck so don't expect it to be. Terry

Personally I am not big on ethanol, in fact I often use Premium Gas on the highway, MY car seems to do much better when it comes to gas mileage, obviously you may be different. Terry

Hello I live in Regina........ Terry

Welcome Vito, as others have already pointed out to you , there is a wealth of info here. Terry

Ditto here too......... Terry

I agree with another poster, I not only think it will rub, it will look pretty funny. I realize your want of a larger tire but I truly think you should look at larger rims if you want to use those tires........Just my thoughts...... Terry

I have a 2010 AWD 3.5 liter V6 and I put close to 1,000 kms.on it last weekend and my EVIC said I was getting an average of 10 liters/100 kilometers which is close to 30 mpg (IMP gallons) I usaully use my Fuelly to keep track of my mileage but haven't entered it yet. Terry
