  1. 72 liters = 19.02 US gallons = 15.83 Imperial gallons
  2. Do you still have those links by chance? I am curious to look at them. Terry
  3. Sorry to see you go and to hear of your disappointment with Dodge..... I wish you nothing but the best of luck with your next car purchase! Terry
  4. I agree with bigst, I would look at a new battery in each first. Speaking from experierence, make sure you have the batteries installed properly . Terry
  5. Just as a bit of an update, as I was waiting in line for fuel today, my low fuel light came on. I then proceeded to put 72 liters in my tank. Terry
  6. As I mentioned in another thread, according to the My Fuelly site, the most fuel I have ever put in my car is 76.36 liters (19.37 US gallons 16.79 Imp. gallons) and 5 times I have exceeded 76 liters so 73.5 "may" be a little low but who knows. Hope this info helps you. Terry
  7. Thanks.....I was just curious that's all. Terry
  8. I really sympathize with the problems you seem to be having with the Kumho tires, and I am certainly not doubting you. I hope you get them fixed. As I pointed out yesterday in another thread, the Kumho tires are made in South Korea the same country that makes Hankook tires (a very respected name). I really don't think the problem is with the tires themselves, it seems to be the oddball size 225/55/19 that is the problem, although replacement tires in that size are becoming more plentiful as we speak. As I mentioned, I have a 2010 R/T AWD and so far these tires while not the greatest tires, they have proved to be very satisfactory to date. I have had these tires since August 2010, they have been through 2 winters the last one being quite severe with over 2 meters of snow. Bramfrank pointed out tire roations and tire pressure are two very important factors to consider in tire life and tire performance. As I also mentioned yesterday, the rims are prone to have snow and ice build up when it freezes on to the rim and make your car wobble. Several times this winter this has happened to me. As was also pointed out to you balancing is a very important task and your rims must be very clean so that no mud, ice or snow affect it. I wish you sucess with these tires. Terry
  9. I know this is straying off topic a bit, but did you change your message fairly often? If you don't mind me asking what messages did you put there? (I know I may regret asking). Personally, I have looked at these frames numerous times. Terry
  10. Thanks I really like them too, but it does force you to exit the car slightly different. Both the bug deflector and the sunroof air deflector were installed by my dealer and there is no holes for either. They are both Mopar products, bug deflector is screwed on underneath using existing screws. No extra holes...... :shades: Hope this helps. Terry
  11. I have a set on my vehicle that my dealer installed for me 2 years ago. Terry
  12. Craig Right now I have a Dodge one on my Journey but on my Saturn Sky I am going to put on that says "I Rather Be Kayaking" I have kayaked for over 20 years so this means something to me. I see you also kayak so that may be something to look into. I also have one that says "I'd Rather Be Windsurfing" http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=7005 Terry
  13. With all due respect, is it the tires, the rims? These rims are prone to have snow and ice freeze on to them an make your car wobble. I will replace the tires with something better IMO when the time comes. I have a 2010 R/T AWD and so far these tires while not the greatest tires, they have proved to be very satisfactory to date. Personally I think you should look on the inside of the rims to see if there is any ice or snow build up. This may be moot because I see you live in Montreal (my brother lives in Beaconsfield) where you have to put snow tires on your car by December 15. I know I have a problem when negotiating deeper snow and it freezes on the inside of my rims and thus unbalancing my tires. Terry
  14. Rolly Did you find a solution? I must admit I am upstairs and too lazy to go look at my car..... :shades: Terry
  15. I have a 7 seater and I bought it off the lot that way. There is just me and my dog, so I do not need all the extra seating but I am glad I have it.. I certainly agree with double07, I live on the Canadian Prairies where the winters are very cold, the heater inthe back seat certainly is a bonus. I keep my 3 row seats folded down so I have wasted money in that sense but I do like the rear air and heat. Terry
  16. With all due respect, I beg to differ, but saying 10.2L/100km is much diferent than saying 9.8kmpL. The first expression is based on CONSUMPTION and is a an actual number, An actual number of kms. (100) and an actual quantity of fuel (10.2 liters) It takes to travel 100kms. no more no less. The 9.8kmpL is a hypothetical number, we do not know if it was derived from a distance of 1km, 10 kms, 100 kms or a 1000 kms, it is an average! In my old Caravan there was an instantaneous reading of mileage. Was it accurate? Not sure it was year 2000 technology. Even if it was, what did it tell you other that at that precise moment you were getting a certain mileage! A number like 9.8kmpL is derived from an average of these instantaneous readings, some will be better than 9.8kmpL and some will be worse than 9.8kmpL. Obviously the more readings or the greater the overall mileage the more accurate the MPG or the KmpL will be. Quite frankly it's not the articles author's math I would question, I am sure he has solved numerous math problems. A point to consider I have been buying gas in the metric system since Canada adopted the metric system in 1977 so I feel relatively confident about metric conversion. Terry
  17. I meant I was driving too much and using too much gas doing that. Terry
  18. I am certainly not cticizing the age old MPG or the American system, but the Canadian version of L/100 is slightly more accurate because it measures actual consumption vs. how far you may go, which is a hypothetical distance. One gives fuel per distance, while the other gives distance per fuel. If you care to read more on this go to: http://www.skepticblog.org/2012/05/24/mpg-vs-l100km/. It was written by an American. A more acurate way might be gallons/100 miles which of course would really screw things up. Terry
  19. I will echo everyone's sentiments, Denny you will be missed, thank you for everything you have done to help others in the past. Congrats on your new position and I wish you well. Brett, welcome to the fold. Terry
  20. Rolly I agree with redtomatoman my fuel guage goes to E too quickly......LOL, but that's another story, As I mentioned in another thread, according to the My Fuelly site, the most fuel I have ever put in my car is 76.36 liters and 5 times I have exceeded 76 liters. Unfortunately these fillups were a while ago so I really don't remember any specifics about them. On my car the warning light seems to come on just below 1/8 of a tank which, if my math is correct, would mean 8-10 liters left at this time. But if you are only putting 59 liters in when your guage reads empty there is something wrong. Hope this info helps you. Terry
  21. I just did some checking on my fuelly, in my case the most fuel I have ever put in was 76.36 liters and I have put over 76 liters 5 times, but unfortunately they were such a long time ago so I can't remember anything about the fillups. Fortunately I have not had the problem that others have described. Terry
  22. Another option... thanks. This may be a good option for Vedasmom if she is worried about not being able to do it. Terry
  23. It was very easy to replace the batteries, in fact I just looked at my FOB as we speak. It is fairly easy to separate the 2 halves, easier still if you remove the valet key. It is a CR2032 battery and I happened to get it at my local Best Buy but I am positive you could get it just about anywhere. It is a flat "button" type battery that you install with the writing down. Hope this helps..... Terry
  24. I am sorry to hear you are having some problems, personally the battery is the first thing I would look at. On a personal note please make sure you install the new battery right side up. :shades: I replaced both batteries in both FOBs at the same time and unfortunately installed both of them upside down, so nothing worked but then again But I am just a whiney dumbass Canadian. Good thing I can laugh at myself. Terry
