These Keys AKA transponders SUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Windancer replied to funegirl's topic in Owner Impressions
Your words not mine....... , Sorry to all of you to reply to an old thread, but someone else did so once again I will reply. So let me get this straight in my mind, so I fully understand all the technicalities and intricacies of it, because you have 3 degrees you are so much smarter than the rest of us here, yet you not only washed not one, but two key fobs? Just curious........ In case you're like Sheldon Cooper from the "BIG Bang Theory" and don't understand it, this is sarcasm....... .. Terry -
Here in Western Canada the Journey seems to fit well in a certain niche of the population. This is just my own opinion but It has a little more clearance than a Caravan, nearly the same room, it's not as cool to drive a minivan any more so more and more people are going the SUV route, the AWD is popular around here when compared to only FWD due to all the snow, it gets fairly decent gas mileage, it is priced very competively when compared to other offerings. Just my thoughts....... Terry

I have a 2010 Journey R/T AWD and mine comes on at just under an 1/8 of tank which is about 8-10 litres. Terry

As I said 2 years ago, they are very popular around here. As others have mentioned, Dodge advertises them as the #1 selling crossover in Canada. Terry

Ditto on the Obits........LOL. Welcome...... I am in Regina where it is also cold and snowy. Terry

I am curious Costco will only replace tires of equal size, what did they say (if anything) when you went from 225/55/19" to 235/55/19"? Terry

Stone White, first white vehicle I have ever owned and I rather like it. I mostly had red vehicles or black, with a couple of blue. Black looks great when it is cleaned and polished but is very hard (at least in my case) to do so. Terry

Thanks for your insight on this Bob, I know many people are very frustrated (and well they should be) with this. I personally have a 2010 c/w the trailer towing package and a hitch and I feel very fortunate to have all this. I know I have towed my boat and my kayak trailer many times and been very satified. 13,000 KM before first oil change??
Windancer replied to caperinmuskoka's topic in Owner Impressions
It's really too bad some of us have had such bad experiences with dealers. I guess I am really spoiled because Norm at Indian Head Chrysler is a very good friend, sure he always wants to sell me a vehicle which is his job, but he cetainly understands me and my needs and is very cognizant of that. Not sure where you live :cold: but, I have lived in Regina all my life, and Saskatchewan doesn't use very much salt on it's roads (due to the fact our winters are cold and the temp. rarely goes over 0°C throughout the winter) when compared to even Calgary where I also lived for a couple of years. If you want to see salt being used, go to Montreal (where my brother lives). They use 2x in a day than what we use all winter. I wasn't saying you're wrong, just curious that's all. Terry

Sorry to both the two previous posters, I took the original post in a totally different context and my post did not make any sense. Terry

I am going to play devil's advocate here for just a moment how would that save us money? Am I missing something? Terry

My journey is dead - Battery Died
Windancer replied to Chris1276's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Chris I just sent you a PM with my service manager's name and toll free number, as I said in the PM, he was asking where you got gas, but as I explained your poor gas mileage was a chronic problem. There really isn't much he could do without putting it on his computer. Terry -
As far as I know there isn't really an area devoted to this. What do you need done, I may be able to help you out. Terry
-
Yes, gas mileage is not a strong suit of the Journey. Out here in Regina (where we have a dry cold ) we are experiencing one of the worst winters in a while, lots of cold weather and snow. My gas mileage is very poor (as high as 21 litres/100 kms) although on Monday I travelled to Saskatoon and I got 11.3 litres/100 kms on a 500 km. trip. I have said it before but if you want to see each and every tankful I have used since day 1 in my car just click on the Fuelly logo below. Terry

I will be talking to the service department later this afternoon and I will mention it. Terry -
Sorry I am not quite sure what you are asking. I am a profesional photographer who is fairly experienced using Photoshop and Lightroom. Please expand on your question. Terry

Chris I was in your city yesterday and I was thinking about you. I agree the very poor mileage is a real concern. I was up in Saskatoon yesterday and if you check the My Fuelly logo below I got 11.3 litres/100 kms. round trip from Regina to Saskatoon and back at 120 kph. I would agree with drb227 when he mentions the Gas guage being really out of whack, as DodgeCACares mentioned is this a hand calculation? Did my dealer ever get back to you? If not I will remind him again. As was previously mentioned I have been using www.fuelly.com since day 1, you can see I now have 91 fillups and over that entire time (3 years) I am averaging 15.9 litres/100 kms. My personal best is 9.3 litres/100 kms and my worst is 23.6 litres/100 kms but that was in the middle of a very cold winter where I often let the car "warm up" a lot. Terry -
2013 R/T AWD - Navigation not working
Windancer replied to White2013JourneyGirl's topic in Owner Impressions
I for one, really appreciate Chis and Denny for being here, Other than PM'ing me a car build, fortunately I haven't had to use either one and obviously I hope that remains as long as I own my car. I am not so naive to understand that there isn't problems with these cars, I know ther is because there have been numerous instances where they have shown up. Chis and Denny have been very forthcoming with the help (or as much as they can do) necessary to rectify the problem. As an example, I think everyone understands the trailer hitch problem is Chrysler's not them. Don't think for a minute I don't sympathize (if that helps) with all of you. As such I truly hope that all the problems can be dealt with. I was a GM person growing up, but because of the service that my small town dealer provides and the product Chrsler has produced, I have been a loyal customer to Chrysler for the past 25 years. This post is just my own thoughts, you are certainly entitled to disagree. I am not "sucking" up to Chis and Denny, just my own opinion. Terry -
2013 R/T AWD - Navigation not working
Windancer replied to White2013JourneyGirl's topic in Owner Impressions
I agree with Rolly, not every Journey is a lemon, we only hear the horror stories and I certainly sympatize with them. I have had a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T AWD since August 2010 and I am very happy with it, sofar so good. I also have a very good repoire with my dealer which not everybody has so once again I certainly sympatize with them. terry -
Meant to ask, what is driving like? terry

Do you have any photos yet? Just curious...... Terry
