  1. Hi Chris I just thought you may have done it to put you over the 30 post threshold so that you can PM somebody. :-) You may have already seen it, but I sent an email to my dealer with a copy to you regarding you gas mileage problem, so we will just have to wait and see his response if any. He usually answers me within a couple of hours. Now that you can PM, you might want to PM either DodgeCares or DodgeCACares and see if they have an answer. The attached photo was taken just south of you at the old farm at Hanley. Terry
  2. Really!!! What make of tires? I would have thought they would have been way too wide as rlwarner mentioned. Terry
  3. Personally , I would look at getting a new dealer..... :hysterical2:
  4. Sure let me know, if others want to know he can post it here, I'm sure the original seller would be happy with the free advertising, if not just PM me. Thanks Terry
  5. I agree you would think a dealer would assume some resposibility for this. I know my dealer wouldn't give this problem another thought. Terry
  6. Chris not sure if you could read my PM or not. Basically all it said is that I would be happy to ask my dealer about your poor gas mileage, I know he wouldn't have anything definite without seeing your car, but he may be able to offer some suggestions for this. What did your dealer say they thought your problem was? I just wanted an email address to copy you in on, That's all. Maybe DodgeCares or DodgeCACares could weigh in on that subject. Just out of curiosity how many posts do they say you need before you can use the PM function? Terry
  7. Just curious, where did you get the hood decal? Looks good........ Terry
  8. Chris, reply to my PM. Terry
  9. In my case the step boards were ordered through and installed by my dealer, I probably have the invoice around here somewhere if you need the part number. Terry
  10. I agree 15 minutes of iding will make a huge difference to any gas mileage calculations. Chris, PM me with an email address and your dealer and I will copy you in my email to my dealer. Have you talked to your dealer? If so what did they say? This may sound stupid but are you running too rich? say a choke staying on too long? Maybe DodgeCACares can help you out. I hate to say it but maybe you have to take it out on the highway down to say Kenaston and back. Don't forget to PM me an email address. Terry
  11. I posted this in another thread and it also seems to fit in here. I have said this before, the gas mileage we are getting is relatively good, not great, but decent. Gas mileage is not a strong suit of this car. It is somewhat heavy and obviously the AWD will take away some mpg's. My personal mileage is probably higher than most, I usually travel at 120 kms/hr (75 mph) on the highway, not the lighest person on the gas but that's me. I just went to the My Fuelly site and these are the numbers I have for my 2010 Dodge Journey R/T AWD. The best I ever got was: 25.3 mpg (US gal) 30.4 mpg (Imp.gal) 9.3 l/100 kms. since I bought the car in August 2010 including all my warmups etc. my average mileage is: 14.8 mpg (US gal) 17.8 mpg (Imp.gal) 15.9 l/100 kms. There seems to be several factors that either increase or decrease my mileage: regular gas vs. premium gas - seem to get way better using premium Time of year - fall or spring seem to be the best as temps are cooler but not real cold Highway vs. City driving - given..... much better on the highway. City gas mileage seems to suck Just my personal thoughts and facts. You can click on the Fuelly logo and see what I have got with this vehicle since Day 1. Terry

  13. I have a 2010 and I have always liked it and had no problems, just so you know a close to 3 year past history. Terry
  14. Gotcha, only having a 2010, I assumed, obviously wrongly they were the same......Sorry Terry
  15. My sunroof air defelector is the OEM Mopar one, so it may be slightly different than the Weather Tech ones. I must admit you don't need an air deflector on your sunroof this time of year. I am not sure if they are available in anything else but a "smoked" colour. Terry
  16. I installed the sunroof air deflector and IMO it was worth it. My car is very quiet, I have no interior air turbulence. Obviously this is only my opinion and yours may differ....... :-) When I installed my sunroof air delector I installed "chrome" door edging on the trailing edge of it similiar to what I have done on my valence. Terry
  17. Hi there, I have a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T with a 3.5L engine and AWD, in summer on the highway, using higher octane gas I have gotten 9.3l/100 kms. Is this the norm? No....... Right now Regina seems to be experiencing a somewhat harsher winter than normal. It is cold and we have more snow than normal, my gas mileage (19.5) is IMO very poor at this time of year, warm ups, lots of iding and lots of snow. If you click on the My Fuelly logo below it will give you what I have got ever since I bought the car. I agree with several of the suggestions already given to you by others. I would agree with Jouney SExT and start a my fuelly account, very easy to keep track of and once you get in the habit of recording your fill ups very easy to maintain. I would also agree with bigtsr if you want more realistic numbers don't reset the L/KM each fillup as longterm averaging does comes into play. I reset mine each tankful but that's me. I agree, The only time to reset it is if you wish to find out what EVIC is reporting for a particular trip. As he/she noted the most reliable way to calculate is still the manual fill to fill method kms versus liters used manually. I hope all these suggestions help. Terry
  18. I know you don't need my sympathy, but it's amazing as well as very disappointing to hear of everyone's problem with the trailer hitches. As I have said before I got mine several weeks after I bought the car, I was on a west coast trip and did not need it, it's a 2010 model. I have talked to my local dealer regarding this (Indian Head Chrysler) and he seems to be at a loss to explain this. I truly hope something done real soon to alleviate this. terry
  19. I got my dealer to install both front and rear mudguards when I picked up the car. It is a 2010 but I am sure they are all the same. Terry
  20. Yes it is. I just did the same thing, when it said "electronic delivery" I was thinking the same thing. Hard to believe that 2011 is the newest map they have. terry
  21. All things considered so am I. This is my third winter with this car and so far no problems at all. I know others have had some problems with the car and I sympathize with you. The AWD works well and amid all the complaints of the 19" rims and Kumho tires. they seem to work well for me. Terry
  22. Chris I live just south of you in Regina, I would have a talk with your dealership as your mileage is much to high. Although this time of year and winter on the prairies is not kind to gas mileage. Right now I am only getting 18.5 liters/100 kms. with all the idling and "warming" up I seem to do. Since I bought the car in August 2010, I have used 85 fillups and averaged 15.7 liters/100 kms., this is still somewhat high but shows what the Journey is capable of. If you click the My Fuelly logo below it will show everything. Interestly enough in October using higher octane fuel I drove up to Saskatoon and back and I got 9.3 liters/100 kms. Getting back to your post, I would have a talk with your dealership about you poor gas mileage. Terry
