Same here in Saskatchewan, you know the province easy to draw but hard to spell and pronunciate. terry

I must admit I have been very diligent about rotating my tires, so far it seems to be working. I have so far gotten 28,000 kms. and they seem to be wearing evenly and quite well. IMO I really think original tires are too soft (better initial ride) and wear faster than replacement tires. Case in point my original Caravan tires seemed to get much less mileage on it's original tires than the replacements. Having said that when it comes time to replace the Kumho's, I will probably get Michelins, Toyo or Good Year only because they have worked for me in the past. Terry

Welcome Pablo, I too have a white Journey albeit a 2010, It is fully loaded with everything that was available in 2010. I drove it out to Port McNeil on the island for a 6 day kayak trip in September of 2010. Terry

Just bought Trailer Tow Mirrors Ext.(pair)

I must admit about all I tow these days is my kayak trailer although I sometimes tow my boat, but I have no visibility problems Terry -
Hello sexyRTboi I'm not sure about typing that out, but that's another story......LOL. I also have the 19" Chrome Wheels and Kumho tires, IMO this combo seems fine in our winters around here, where we do get lots of snow but it could be best described a a "dry" cold. In Ontario are you mandated to put on winter tires like Quebec? I have used my tires through 2 prairie winters + AWD and never had a problem. I will admit I do not go looking to get stuck and so far never had a problem. My vehicle now has 28,000 kms and when it comes time to replace the Kumho's, I will probably get something like the Michelins. Just my thoughts....... Terry

On Friday I was out to my dealer for an oil change, I talked to Joe and he mentioned someone from down east had phoned about a hitch, I assumed it was you, he said they are having trouble getting hitches so they get them from somewhere else (wish I could remember the name), he told me that the Chrysler hitches were made by this company and just reboxed for them. If you want I could find out who. Terry

Just out of curiosity, why can you not get a ball for it? I have 3 or 4 in dfferent sizes. terry

Cannot connect Ipad to radio
Windancer replied to Waddie's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I have a 2010 R/T and yes they do, that is how I use my Ipod in my car. I have a holder that plugs into the always on power port just ahead of the shifter and I have a small cable from my Ipod to my AUX.jack, like you said you do loose some functionality this way, but it works well for me. Terry -
Granted it's not what you "really" wanted but glad to hear you have something in which to use temporarily, albeit near the end of September. I was very lucky I guess seeing as I had everything I needed for my 2010 Dodge Journey in less than a month. I certainly agree that this problem is unacceptable and hope Dodge does something for you. Terry

Very nice Oracle. Neither does my 2010 even though it has the Dodge trailering package (transmission cooler) as I said in another thread I myself have not towed any where my weight limit so I can't comment on this. In my Owner's Manual they specifically said I could tow 3500 lbs.I was wondering if either Dodge rep could comment on this and confirm the proper weight that could be towed by a Journey. Terry

The towing issue seems to be a big issue with everyone, whether it be the lack of OEM hitches, the amount it can tow etc. I use mine for relatively light towing and have been very happy but I have never towed a heavy load so I can't speak to that. I have towed my relatively light 17' tri hull boat several times to the cottage and now I tow my very light 2 - 17' kayaks around. For me "It works" Terry
-
Couldn't agree with you more. the tire issue, if there is one, is not to be confused with the car itself. The tire is only one part of the entire car, it may be a weak link but does not make the car. That's like me saying my 2010 DJ is better because it has a Navteq guidance system while the 2011's and newer use a Garmin system ( and no I don't want to start a discussion on this), In MY CASE the tires are working very well, but others may have a problem with them which I can understand. Thanks Rolly, I really appreciate you saying so. I hope they might be able to help him out. Terry

Hey Moparman Phone Joe @ 1-800-652-3181 and ask if they have a hitch. It's my dealer in western Canada. Terry

Sorry Astral, I might have unwittingly posted something that may have been in accurate. I always put 87 Octane gas in my car, never looking to see the Ethanol content of it if there is one. I just fillup at the same nighbourhood station each time. It is nothing special. Next fill up I will pay closer attention to what is posted on the pump. Terry
-
Personally I did not notice any increase in gas mileage in my 2010 AWD Journey R/T using a higher Octane gas, others may have. but I certainly didn't. I have never put any Ethanol in my tank, just run on 87 Octane and it seems to do well. If you click on the Fuelly logo below it will show you what I have gotten for mileage since day one. It shows 15.8l\100 kms which is still a weeee bit high but it does take in to account idling and winter warm ups/ I don't know for absolute truth but I believe 85 Ethanol will reduce your gas mileage somewhat because of the lower Octane rating Terry
-
Hey moparman, what all do you need? I will talk to my dealership out west here (Indian Head, Sask.) and see if they have what you need. PM me if you want. Terry
-
Pardon my ignorance, this is the first time hearing the term "Hypermiling". I am sure I know what it means but never heard it before. Terry
-
As numerous people have mentioned to you the gas mileage will get much better, My 2010 just turned 25,000 kms. and my mileage is still improving. How did your trip to your dealers parts dept. go? BTW I found pretty much all the numbers you wanted of all the parts I have added to my car if you need them. Terry
-
Chris, Everything with the exception of the Buick "portholes" was ordered through my dealer. I could probably get all the part numbers if you needed them. The chrome, step bars, mirror caps, R/T emblems, sill plates, gas cap etc. plus both air deflectors were all ordered through my dealer in Indian Head. Terry

My gas mileage is all over the map (no pun intended). If you check the my Fuelly link below you can see what I have averaged since I bought my car in August 2010. It shows I have averaged 15.8 over 75 fill ups. This is a wee bit higher than most people's but it takes into account idling and winter warm ups. Trust me where I live these are a necessary evil. Lately my mileage is much better as I seem to average under 14l/100 kms., my vehicle has 25000 kms. on it. If you look at it with the exception of fillups 70 -72 where I think I entered the incorrect mileage and screwed up. I agree with others I am sure your mileage will improve as you put more miles on. Terry

I had a black Caravan and have a black PT Cruiser convertible and while they looked great clean and shiny, they were/are very hard to keep that way. Terry

I agree...... Terry
