  1. Sorry to hear about your friend, it was nice that you could help him out. Terry
  2. I must admit it does seem a little pricey. I certainly mean no disrespect to you when I say this. You should remember that some Journey owners might be incapable of doing it themselves, whether it be because of some sort of disability, lack of knowledge or just plain time. In some cases it is to their advantage to just "do it" and have someone else do it for them rather than to attempt it themselves. As always just my thoughts of couse others may differ Terry
  3. They do look good, what kind are they? Terry
  4. Thanks but I like my car the way it is, you are certainly entitled to your opinion which I will respect. As I said what I have done to my car is not for everybody, which is fine. I guess the mod thing comes from having a PT Cruiser and seeing so many different mods done to it. Terry
  5. Matt Congrats on your new car. I notice in this photo you had a rear bumper protector, did this come with the car or di you add it on later? @ Humansoul, Black is an awesome colour, looks great clean but very hard to keep clean. My convertible PT Cruiser was black and I was forever cleaning it. I eventally went with a white one and for the most part I am very happy. See Once again Matt, congrats on you car , it is very nice. Enjoy........as I know you will. BTW good looking dogs, I have 2 golden retrievers. Terry
  6. I think your salesman was spoofing you. I have never seen a chrome bug deflector for a Dodge Journey. I put a smoked one on my car with some chrome edging and am quite satisfied with the looks of it. See my post titled "Exterior Mods To My Car" in the Exterior Mods Forum. () Terry
  7. Sorry been away for a few days, do you still need some photos? If so I can tke them tonight. terry
  8. Can you not cut and paste the TSB? I don't see any reason it wouldm"t work. Terry
  9. Thanks for all the replies and looks at the photos. As I said the mods aren't for everyone and I can inderstand that. I had the portholes left over from my convertible PT Cruiser so I decided to install them on my Journey. IMO, I like the "finishing" touch that the chrome edging gives the car, others may not and I don't mind as everyone has different ideas. I'm still thinking about some chrome side steps on it. terry
  10. To All; Just thought I would show everyone some exterior mods I have made, now that my car is clean. As I have mentioned before not everyone will like what I have done to my car. As you can see by the photos I have the chrome mirror caps, the chrome R/T emblem, the chrome Buick "portholes" and chrome edging on my hood air deflector. What isn't seen is I also have the chrome edging on my sunroof air deflector, chrome sill plates and a chrome gas tank cover. I had the portholes left over from my convertible PT Cruiser Terry
  11. Well so much for Southbank Dodge, in Ottawa. Their reputation is shot now, I'm really glad my dealer (Indian Head Chysler in Indian Head, Saskatchewan) is as good as he is. Terry
  12. Sorry to hear of all your problems LUX MAN, glad you seem to have it rectified. I have a 2010 R/T AWD that came with the OEM tailering package so I put the triler hitch on as part of my purchase of the car. They seemed to have no problem with the 4 pin connector on my car. I was just a little surprised that they had to remove the entire rear bumper to get at the wiring. Terry
  13. Interesting as I drive the remaining 5 miles to my cottage on gravel roads. I will keep this in mind. Terry
  14. Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada 2010 Stone White R/T
  15. ditto here, I ride my mountain bikes, I kayak and I windsurf, the jouney transports all my hobbies well. Not quite as good as my 2000 Grand Caravan Sport though! http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/gallery/member/2388-windancer/ Terry
  16. Hot water to soften it up?? Terry
  17. Let us know if you are suceessful, I put one on my 2005 PT Cruiser convertible and it cost me less than $50 installed. Terry
  18. Personally I would never fully trust the EVIC as it has been out a little at least on my car Terry
  19. I will look at my invoice to see if was part of a particular package on my car. Terry
  20. When I got my 2010 R/T it came with the crossbars. Terry
  21. Very true, as the best I 've gotten is 9.3l/100 kms. all the way up to around 20l /100 kms so the mileage is all over the map!! I know that I am very happy with the car overall. Terry
  22. I agree..... as I have pointed out to this forum many times, fuel economy is not a strong point of the Journey. You can see mine by clicking on the My Fuelly logo at the bottom of my post. It shows an in depth review of my driving. As I have mentioned before I have kept track of my fuel economy since day 1 of my ownership. I kept track of it through our brutal winter and all the idling I did, plus all the highway and city driving I did and I average 15.6 l/100 kms on 41 fillups. I would like to improve on this. Terry
  23. Here in Regina I was looking at some Trail F/X bars. They look the same as BAC's. Terry
