You can click on the MyFuelly logo at the bottom of my post if you are curious as to what I get in my 2010 Journey R/T. I must admit it is "all over the map" and is really dependant on the type of driving you do. My mileage is still around 9700 kms. Regards Terry

I have taken my 2010 R/T towing my boat to my cottage and the last 8 miles are a gravel grid road. It handled very well and the extra clearance was welcome. It seems to handle the gravel roads quite well. Hope this helps. Regards Terry

Sorry about the double post. If the administator sees this, it can be deleted. Regards Terry

I agree with you, although it is now January 2011 and they are quite a bit more common in stores here in Regina. I'm not sure why Dodge chose such a limited size for a standard 19" tire. Just my opinion though :D Regards Terry

So far I have not noticed any problem with my 2010 Journey R/T and believe me it's colder out here in Saskatchewan. We like to refer to it as a "Dry Cold" Regards Terry

Radio Reception
Windancer replied to Remmett's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I have a 2010 Journey R/T with the top of the line stereo in it. I personally don't have any problem with FM reception, in fact it seemed to me that it was very good. Up here we may not have as many FM stations so that may be a bit of a contributing factor. Regards Terry -
I would like to hear other's opinion on the GPS system used in our Journeys. I was looking at a video of a 2011 Journey. One thing I noticed and especially like is the migration from Navteq to Garmin for the Nav System. IMHO and from personal experience this is a vast improvment. I have a Garmin Nuvi 255 that seems to have much better maps than the Journey's Navteq maps. I paid for the lifetime upgrades ($120) for my Garmin and I get updates 4x per year. I just bought a onetime Navteq upgrade ($200) for my vehicle and it's map is not as new as the Garmin. I live in a new area of my city, the Garmin map shows my streets while the Navteq map doesn't. I am quite familiar with GPS's, having 3 of them along with one for my many cameras. I was just curious to hear some other points of view regarding the Nav system in our cars. Regards Terry

I agree the tire issue is frustrating but It is now January 2011 and the tire issue is becoming less and less of an issue due to the fact that the tire sizes are becoming much more available now. Regards Terry

Looks great, unfortunately that combo probably wouldn't work here, we tend to need a little more sidewall on our tires, especially during winter. ;-) Terry

I agree, I live in Saskatchewan, Canada which is west of Deckster and we are having a record snowfall this year and the stock Tires on my 2010 White Journey R/T work really well. Just my thoughts others may differ. Terry

I believe the light stays off if all is well, it will come on if the AWD has a problem. I do agree with a previous poster when he said if there is a driveshaft and a differential on the car it ias an AWD. Terry

I too am very sorry to hear about all the complaints. My 2010 Journey R/T has been very good so far. I have a very good relationship with my dealer so I don't anticipate any real big problems, in the past 20 years he has always taken good care of me. It is now January 2011 and the tire issue is becoming less and less of an issue due to the fact that the tire sizes are becoming much more available now. Regards Terry

Painted Grille, Mopar Wheels, Smoked Lights
Windancer replied to n00bert's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I agree it's whatever look you want to achieve. I had a '05 Black Pt Cruiser that I kept fairly monotone with the exception of Chrome wheels. With my Journey I really like the addition of chrome. which expklains why I put chrome mirrors, sill plates and a chrome gas tank cover. Personally I like the chrome grille and chrome 5 spoke wheels (must be the era I grew up in) as opposed to the painted grille and black wheels shown but that's me, There are many others that probably disagree with me and that's fine. regards Terry -
I am very happy with mine too. Regards Terry

I am of the same opinion there are many things I see as an improvement but some things will be missed. I am sorry to see " The Chill Zone" being excluded. The dash and Radio/Heating Controls seem to be better. and easier to use. As was mentioned the dash is very nice and I am happier to see the radio a little higher. I am quite familiar with GPS's, having 3 of them along with one for my many cameras. As I said this is my opinion only, I would like to hear others as well as possibly hearing from Navteq. Regards Terry

Thanks, since that photo, I have put on a Chrome Gas Tank Cover, Chrome Mirrors, Chrome Sill Guards, a Black Plexi Glass Bug Deflector on the hood and a a Black Plexi Glass Sunroof Air Deflector among some other stuff. Regards Terry

I realize this is a very old thread but after reading it again much of the info in here is applicable today. The gas mileage in my car is "all over the map" (see myfuelly link below) My car is a 2010 R/T that has every option available on it. The bottom line is that it's gas mileage is very dependant on the way you drive. I personally don't mind getting a little less with my AWD because I have the peace of mind of AWD and where I live it's important because looking out the window we have lots of snow at the moment and a blizzard is coming. Just my thoughts others may differ. ;-) Regards Terry

Very good to know, I have the same message on my car and it only has 5000 kms. on it. It has been cold. with only short trips to work in stop and go traffic. good thing I'm booked in for an oil change tomorrow. Regards Terry
