  1. I have had this fuel gauge problem with my 2011 Crew since day 1. There is a separate thread on here about it somewhere. They replaced a part, I can't remember what, based on the advice of DodgeCares, I believe. It actually made the problem worse. I can drive around for a full day, sometimes 2 days, with the needle below the E and when I go to fill up, I can barely squeeze 65 litres into the tank, which holds 78 litres. Rarely when I fill up completely does the needle go to the F or past the F. Most times, it will get close to the F but that's it. After I drive for 30 or 40 kms, the needle then moves to the 7/8ths mark. Very frustrating and very inaccurate fuel gauge!
  2. The fuel gauge and consequently, the low fuel warning light, is very inaccurate in my 2011 Crew, even after a "fix" last fall. I'm convinced this is a common problem in the Journey. More people keep bringing up this issue. Yesterday I filled up with the gauge below the E. I put 64 litres in. The gas pump actually clicked off just past 60 litres. My tank is 78 litres. When I fill up completely, the gauge does go past the F but it starts dropping very quickly. It will typically go to 7/8ths in less than 50 kms. My fuel gauge is so inaccurate it is a joke. I'm pretty sure it is worse now than before the fix they applied. The fix was a new fuel pump, I believe.
  3. My 2011 Nav is Garmin, same as the 2012/2013. Are you sure you don't see the compass heading in the NAV button at the bottom of the display while driving?
  4. My 2011 Crew has the 8.4N. It has always shown the compass heading on the EVIC screen and on the Nav button at the bottom of the 8.4N screen, so I have it in two places. The compass heading has never shown at the top of my 8.4N screen. I also have the menu settings for variance and recalibration.
  5. When the nav voice is talking, you can turn up the volume which will only affect the nav voice. It remembers whatever you change the volume to while the nav voice is talking. This will not affect the volume of the radio.
  6. Unfortunately, doing that also changes kms to miles on all the Evic screens. There is no way to just change, say, the Kpa to PSI and leave the rest at metric.
  7. I agree and I have said as much a few posts back. The "fix" did nothing to fix my inaccurate fuel gauge. In fact, it might actually be worse now than it was before the fix. I can drive around with the needle on the E for an entire day and still not be able to put more than 65 litres in the tank. When I really fill it up, the gauge will sometimes go past the F but it drops to 7/8 really quickly, like after 25 kms or so.
  8. Every vehicle I have owned with a compass has only ever showed the direction you are travelling. I don't see what you find confusing about this. N means you are driving north, etc. Pretty obvious.
  9. I wonder if, like me, your fuel gauge is completely out of whack? I'd like to know, when your fuel gauge is on the E, how many litres can you get in a fill up?
  10. I can understand companies being conservative with the gauge being on the E but 14 litres as in my most recent fill up? In a 78 litre tank, that is 18% of the tank still with fuel in it but the gauge showing that you should be running on fumes.
  11. I filled up yesterday. The gas gauge was slightly below the E, which should have meant that I was basically running on fumes. I was only able to get 58 Litres in the tank before the pump clicked off!!!! I was able to squeeze it up to 64 litres, at which point the gas was starting to flow out of the filler neck. The gas gauge did go just slightly past the F. Clearly, I was nowhere near empty, given that the tank holds 78 litres. I still had approx. 14 litres of gas in the tank, despite the gas gauge being BELOW the E! The new fuel pump has not fixed this issue for me. If anything, it is actually worse now that before the fix.
  12. DodgeCACares, This was discussed quite a while ago with DodgeCares and he advised us that the 2011's didn't have the correct hardware to support voice commands for controlling music playback. That made no sense to me since it obviously works for controlling the phone and changing radio stations or switching from radio to satelllite, etc. It's ONLY the voice control commands for music playback that don't work in the 2011's. I have the 8.4N radio.
  13. If you haven't already, maybe you should find a different dealer for service? There are good ones out there!
