I would be fine with stopping the fill up when the pump clicked off, if the tank was actually close to full! If I stop at the first time the pump clicks off, I only get to about 7/8ths full (the last line before the F mark). That is nowhere near full. I can EASILY get at least another 10 litres in the tank after this point.

Wow! I have the Crew model, so no AWD and I regularly get around 12-13 L/100km to a tank. I do only about 25-30% highway driving most of the time. You seem to be having the same poor gas mileage as Defender007. It should get better though, as the engine gets broken in. On my first few tanks, I was getting around 15 L/100km but it dropped to the 12-13 range after a few thousand kms. I can easliy get under 9 L/100km on the highway. If I really try and go easy on the go pedal around town, I can sometimes get the mileage into the high 11L/100 km range. Can the AWD really be making that much of a difference in the gas mileage?

Radio Sound Problem

I see this is only for the 4.3 radio. Is there a similar fix for the 8.4/8.4N? -
2012 Navigation voice commands

Unfortunate but not surprising to hear. I feel that we 2011 owners got screwed in a couple of areas. The 2009/2010 models came with cross bars for the roof rails(not sure if they all did but I think most did), the 2011's didn't and now the 2012's have them as standard again! The VR system on the 2011 cannot control music playback and the Nav system voice commands are non-existant. All of this is now on the 2012. The 2011 feels like an incomplete job to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm still very happy with my 2011 Crew but I feel that we got seriously short changed in a few areas. -
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!!

2012 Navigation voice commands

Exactly my thoughts. I can't understand why a firmware update to the same firmware you have couldn't give us 2011 owners the same functionality. DodgeCares, would you have any further info on this? -

Lucky you! I wish Chrysler could release an update for us 2011 owners to give us the same functionality!! -
I have the exact same issue. At most gas stations, I can never get the gas gauge needle to go to the F when I fill up. I was actually at a different gas station yesterday to fill up. After the pump initially stopped, I was able to put another 10 litres of gas in! This pump actually allowed the gas to come out very very slowly. When I checked the fuel level, it went past the F. This is only the second or third time I've been able to do this since I got my Journey. At my normal gas station, when I fill up and try to take my time to fill it up as much as possible, the gas gauge needle never makes it to the F. This is a little frustrating to me, since it means I usually never come close to filling the tank and it means I have to fill up more frequently because of that. On any previous vehicle that I have had, I've never had this issue when filling up. I'm guessing this issue is caused by the design of the fuel filler tube and maybe it was intentional?

Chris, I agree completely with what you said. People should take the time to become informed about whatever it is they are buying. I spent a few months researching everything I could about the Journey before I bought mine. I knew EXACTLY what I was getting.

They come on with the rear defrost.

I recently had a nail in one of my tires that was causing a slow leak. I got the low tire pressure warning twice and each time I had to ensure that the tire was filled back to 36 psi before the warning would clear. It seems that the warning will not clear until you bring the tire fully back to what the pressure should be. I filled it once to 35 psi to match the other tires at the time and that was not enough to clear the warning. It wasn't until I got all tires back to 36 psi that the warning finally cleared.

DodgeCares, can you tell us what 11-078 and 11-082 relate to? Thanks!

Yes indeed, when I first got my Journey on March 1st of this year, the EVIC would warn about the TPMS every time I drove with the winter tires on. It would seem that one of the updates I had applied at my first service http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/topic/2474-first-big-service-on-my-2011-crew/ has changed this behaviour as I only got the warning the first time I put the winters on a few weeks ago. No warning lights or beeps since then. Just shows N/A in the EVIC when you look at the tire pressure.

I think most of us regular posters here love our Journeys as well. I am very happy with my 2011 Crew. It bugs me when people post crap like "it's the worst vehicle ever" or "don't ever buy a Journey". EVERY vehicle/manufacturer has their share of problems.

The trailer tow prep package has never included the hitch. It is literally just the 4 pin wiring harness and an engine oil cooler. That's why it is only $275. Many people have been wondering why the 2012's are only rated to tow 2500 lbs when the 2009 - 2011's could do 3500 lbs when properly equipped. Nobody has been able to get an answer yet. I don't think it has anything to do with the engine. The 3.5L V6 in the 2009/2010 had 235 hp and the towing was rated at 3500 lbs. The 3.6L in 2011/2012 models is a much stronger engine at 283 hp/260 lb ft torque and presumably there haven't been any major structural changes to the Journey since it's debut in 2009. Presently this is an unsolved mystery!

Welcome to another fellow Ontarian! Lots of helpful people and great info on this site!

Don't expect too much from the upgraded sound system. I have it and am not all that impressed with it. The up-level sound system I had in my 2007 Caliber was much better.
-
I'm thinking that was a mistake - unless he has a 2009 or 2010 and they are different?

Congrats! I have a white 2011 Crew with Flexible Seating and Navigation and Sound Group. I got mine at Paul Willison Chrysler. Which dealer did you order from? What options did you get?
-
There is no question that something is very wrong. Don't let the dealer tell you otherwise! Call Chrysler if you have to.

19" is also 36. It is on my placard on my 2011 Crew.
-
The tires should be inflated when cold, not after they have warmed up. Best time to fill the tires is after the vehicle has been sitting for a few hours or overnight. Fill the tires to the pressure recommended on the placard on the driver's door.

Out of curiosity, how many kms do you get per tank? What's the percentage of city/highway mileage per tank? I'm usually around 70-75% city for most tanks in my FWD Crew. I usually get around 12.5-13 per tank. I can always get around 500-550kms per tank in this scenario.

Mine are the same as your two photos. I've already been through part of one winter with them exposed like that, with no issues.
