  2. Just wondering where besides a dealership, did anyone have their brakes done and how much did it cost? Also, what types of brake pads and/ or rotors did you go with besides the originals? In Ontario preferably.
  3. Hey Paddy Jay, just wondering does your radio show the phone icon at all? Just wondering if the entire radio has to get changed or if its something they can update through a cd. The problem I'm having here is the dealership keeps saying they can't get the parts. As for the customer records, who do I call, do you have the number? Was your vehicle supposed to have Bluetooth in it originally or did you decide to put it in after the fact? Finally, is there any way to get your dealer/salesman to put those figures on paper? I'd like to have something to show my dealership up here! Thanks.
  4. So I contacted www.chryslerfactoryparts.com today. He wasnt sure what parts would be needed exactly. Asked me if my radio had the speaking mouth symbol on it anywhere. I told him no, I dont have that symbol anywhere on my radio, I don't even have the phone icon along the bottom where you would normally find the radio,climate etc... icons. I proceeded to ask him, If I changed the entire radio, one with bluetooth compatibility and changed the mirror and added the buttons to the steering wheel. would it work then? His reply, I'm not sure. Told me to check the forums to see if anyone else had done something similar. Honestly, you think I hadn`t done that already!!?? Guess I'll just sit and continue waiting.....
  5. Well as it turns out the so called kits that the dealership received were not for my vehicle. They didnt bother to inform themselves on what exactly was needed on my vehicle eg: mirror,buttons on steering wheel etc... so I have lost the battle but I havent lost the war! Spoke with someone from Chrysler Customer Service, was no help at all, telling us " he is unable to do anything about it, have to work it out for myself with the dealership" So after being passed around between 3 different people, was told once again the parts are not available. I came across this website of a dealer in the U.S. and they seem to have all the parts needed listed on their site, I have emailed them with what exactly it is I want to do ( add bluetooth, Voice Reg.) to my vehicle and what parts I would need to do this. If they dont respond within a couple of days I will give them a call, Then hopefully I can continue my fight! Stay Tuned!! P.S. here is the website.> www.factorychryslerparts.com
  6. Got in touch with the salesman who sold us our Journey and FINALLY !! the parts will be in on April 18. Spoke to the parts manager and he confirmed it. Said it comes in a kit. Mirror, buttons etc...? I'm hoping. Trying not to get too excited! I'll believe it when I see it!! will keep you posted.

  8. Well, Here we are, exactly one year later and still no bluetooth parts in site! I think it's time we all rise up and do something about this situation. We have sat here quietly, patiently waiting for this part to arrive and still after one year there is not one salesman, parts manager or dealer who knows who,what,where and when they will arrive. Is it that difficult a question to answer!? Perhaps we should all contact the president ourselves, or better yet, use media sites in order to get our message across! We could start by posting it on you tube, But perhaps an even better idea would be to collect the names of journey purchasers with this same issue from around the globe and present it to a local news channel. The message would be brodcast alot louder and clearer this way!
  9. I just want to add the fact that i did cause a fuss with everyone in my dealership. Finally had a sit down with the manager and they gave me a garmin gps with handsfree phone incorporated in it for the time being. It works great but still not what I want. So I'll try calling customer service and see what they say and I'll keep you posted.

  11. No I havent been able to obtain them , supposedly the hold up is due t the earthquake in japan. So they are taking care of the preordered vehicles first.
  12. Im not sure what you mean by hardware. Im guessing all they would have to do is replace rear view mirror, add buttons onto steering wheel or replace it with new one and upgrade the software on the radio or replace the radio as well . Any installer would be able to do this. Thats what ive been told anyway. Obtaining the parts seem to be the only problem at the moment , so they say.
  13. I originally posted back in march 2011, that my journey would be equipped with the hands free u-connect option. Up until this point nothing has happened , been to the dealership a few times for oil changes and have inquired each time to be told that they had no new info on this issue and that the parts are not even available on their website yet. Has anyone else here heard anything different ? if so please post away !!
