  2. great you have the max warranty guess you are free rolling on it now,how many miles are on your journey, I had my trans service done at about 70 k even tho i have the max warranty also just thought id do it. just turned 80 k on mine.take care.
  3. welcome to the group, hope you have many happy miles.....
  4. mostly caused from the trans trying to decided what gear it wants from what iv heard, happens once in a while to mine

  7. great that you respond with the fix will help others maybe...take care
  8. i would have changed the thermostat out the same time i did the hose. what engine do you have?
  9. i assume you are replacing it due to the plastic tabs that holds it on have broken as mine did on my 2011 and also 2014 journey i didnt replace i just held it in place where it is suppose to be and drilled a small hole thur the side and then added a small black screw to hold it then moved back about 2 inches and then repeated the process never had any more problems with it. so i didnt have to fool with the seat adj or thew seat belt brackets. this is a very common problem with journeys
  10. driving 3.11 miles with your spare on WOULD not damage your awd, now if you drove 1 or 2 thousand miles then yes it would do damage. I would have it checked and you might find that you have a small leak in the transfer case and it as all leaked out and that might be what your problem is, ( journeys have been prone to have a problem with that seal) what is the age of your awd journey and have you had the fluids changed at the proper intervals. sorry if i offended you was just trying to help with your post as it seemed all you want to do is blame dodge. and not look for what else could have caused the problem
  11. you would have had it fixed with less aggravation if you had just went to the dealership and bout the replacement mast they are not expensive.
  12. i dont believe the spare had any effect with the problem you are having. first do you have awd? and if it was a problem you would have gotton a service warning light come on. i believe it is just a coincident that it happened right after. good luck on what you find out.if it would be a problem dodge wouldn't have used it.
  13. i always after cleaning battery post use the crc battery spray protection it comes out red but then you see everything is covered never had any problems with this stuff also it can be the simplest thing like that it can cost so much it repair bills
  14. what yr ,what size eng, check with the dealership to see which trans you have and where the neutral switch is located , some are easy to get to some are not. good luck
  15. ive always used the red spray from the can i think its called crc battery termial protector, always has worked great for me

welcome and happy miles in your journey....
  18. guess you are, havent heared any one complain about that problem i have had 2 journeys 2011 and now a 2014 no problem with them...
  19. was trying to ask have you had a load test done on the battery in your journey not just checking it with a meter, as you say hooking another car up to it by jumping it will start it makes me think the battery is going bad enough to not start under optimal conditions, run by your local parts store and ask them to do a load test on the battery and also check the charging system to see if its up to par .only takes a few minutes and most do it for free
  20. battery should have been sealed in a 2014 if you were able to pop it open as stated i would replace the battery with an up to date one, they can check good and still not start a vech.
  21. even aluminum can get corrosion on it,
  22. i use the paint touch up pens but always use the brush side , just make sure you have removed any rust or contaminants put a light coat then let it dry for a bit then put another drop on as even as you can then let it dry and most of the new pens also have a clear coat on top, wont be perfect but keeps the rust from starting
