  1. please respond back when you find out what happens and your fix for the problem for the next person....
  2. do like jkeaton said and buy local unless its a huge difference. to be sure.things have happened a couple of times when buying parts to me and being local i was upset but just a trip back to the store to get it straightened out didnt have to wait days or weeks or have to put it back together again. i would also stay away from JC Whitney, go with rock auto if you do order parts.
  3. never had ,nor never want a hole in my roof, but you might stop by your local dealership to ask for some advise on how to install it maybe take a 6 pack of beer and go towards closing time to talk to some of the mech. there prob are some that do repair on their own time that might help you... good luck
  4. what size engine. need a lot more info . should be able to source a part from the internet with the correct info.we dont use diesel engines here if that is what it is.seams like your local garage should be able to get or make a similar hose fit. good luck
  5. take it to your local mech and let him install or get his opinion weather this would work for you.

    dealerships

i have always known most dealerships charge different amounts for parts and labor ,so i am getting close to having my plugs changed in my 3.6 i have about 80 k on it now ( 100 k is suggested) and since it looks a little more than i want to do i started pricing the cost from a couple of dealerships first one was a dealership closest to me and they wanted $425. then i called my dealership that i normally use which is about twice the distance than the other dealership and they wanted $225 for it and i asked about doing the coolant flush ( 150 k is suggested) and they want $125 so think i will have them both done at the same time, at least with them doing it ill have it on record that it was done.. Just thought id put the reminder out their to price check your dealerships before you have anything done. Take care all
  7. always asking for help but most never report back after they get theirs fixed to help others out.
  8. welcome to the group, lot of good info here,
  9. bad thing is we had two post about same problems but are old post BUT they never bothered to respond with their fix to it. SO no help for other readers. oh well. it could be the radio or the screen or needing new software update,or maybe just a loose connection, really the only way to know for surer is an elect. tech to check it out otherwise your just replacing parts hoping you get the bad part replaced first. after the fix PLEASE respond with what you find out
  10. why not have a tow truck come move it less than $ 60-100, for the tow to his house or yours, better than trying to hack up the wiring. i assume you have access to the inside of the journey so disconnect the battery if your worried about the alarm
  11. take it back and make them hear it and get it down on paperwork in case it goes bad after your warranty over.
  12. also check all your cables at the battery also make sure clean and tight, also check starter ground at frame and all connections,if you replace the starter make sure you use a good quality one or go mopar parts ,i know cost more but built to a better quality yrs ago my dad had a problems using aftermarket alternators , ended up they didnt work well with dodge vech, he had the dealership put on a mopar alt and no more problems..
  13. hmm,maple syrup.... yum......welcome to the group....
  14. Just another great reason i stay away from awd,fwd is all iv ever needed
  15. sounds like trans problem to me but i am not a mech. yes cars can have trans problems with even less than yours, stuff happens, you will be lucky if a transmission shop will work on it as most wont fool with the newer 6 and 8 speeds yet good luck and keep us informed....
  16. look under the car, plus it is bad to sign paperwork on a new car without seeing it first ,taking it for a test drive.and giving it a good once over inspection....
  17. well keep going back till they get it right, keep track of your paperwork and try to keep a good attitude as a good working relationship gets things done better than an adversarial one, i know it can be frustrating thing trying to get a problem fixed right the first time, but do remember that cars are getting harder and harder to work on these days with all the electronic gremlins that they seem to contain...
  18. contact the maker of your scanner and ask advice from them,i would return it if possible and as Armando suggest take it to your local parts store for a free scan..
  19. use to work on the old tube tvs,, at least for a while.....
  20. might go away after a few days of starting and stopping and if the journey is running okay, also you could run by a your local auto shop they have scanners and might be able to reset it for you.good luck and keep us informed.
  21. yes i would assume it should be covered but they will tell you before doing anything you could always call and ask just to see first.
  22. i believe if you add led hi beams they will be on full strength for the dlr,all the time. i wouldn't recommend it.
