  2. what yr ,what size eng, check with the dealership to see which trans you have and where the neutral switch is located , some are easy to get to some are not. good luck

welcome and happy miles in your journey....
  6. guess you are, havent heared any one complain about that problem i have had 2 journeys 2011 and now a 2014 no problem with them...
  7. was trying to ask have you had a load test done on the battery in your journey not just checking it with a meter, as you say hooking another car up to it by jumping it will start it makes me think the battery is going bad enough to not start under optimal conditions, run by your local parts store and ask them to do a load test on the battery and also check the charging system to see if its up to par .only takes a few minutes and most do it for free
  8. battery should have been sealed in a 2014 if you were able to pop it open as stated i would replace the battery with an up to date one, they can check good and still not start a vech.
  9. even aluminum can get corrosion on it,
  10. i use the paint touch up pens but always use the brush side , just make sure you have removed any rust or contaminants put a light coat then let it dry for a bit then put another drop on as even as you can then let it dry and most of the new pens also have a clear coat on top, wont be perfect but keeps the rust from starting
  11. consider using a rack on the back of your journey. i use one to carry my wife's medical scooter of course you will need to add a trailer hitch (class 3) i bought mine off discount ramp web site, and when not in use it folds up behind the rear hatch or lets down to carry what ever you need.
  12. my 2014 crossroad at about 60 k also had alignment problems due to the rear tires wearing on the inside of the tires, my tires were about wore out so i got the dealership to do a 4 wheel alignment ($95) and then started looking for new tires few months later bought me a set of tires and then i seen Quick lane stores offering lifetime alignments for 4 wheel alignment for $175. so went there and they checked and said everything looks great and so now i take my journey in every few months for a check just to be sure there is no problem before ruining any more tires.....have 78 k on it now with no more problems.....
  13. no when i googled it nothing comes up for our journeys, only diesels. time will tell
  14. Armando is right but also when changing your belt ALWAYS change out the belt tennsioner yes it isn't cheap but that can ruin a new belt if the tennsionor is not applying the right tension after changing it out, it happened to my fathers vehicle once
  15. havent checked on a journey but its a big job that my daughter had to have done on her caravan replacing the rack
  16. i would suspect the pump and also that would be the cheapest to replace the rack can be very expensive to replace.
  17. i could have went with a zero ded on mine but it would have cost about an extra cost of about $700 so i figured go the cheaper route and hope i dont have to use it too much have used it only once so far.
  18. welcome to the group, lots of good info and some bad info LOL
  19. most extended warranties have a deductible . even if its a covered problem, i went with a $100 ded. on my max warranty that i bought.
  20. mine made a little noise but i used a silicone lubricant spray and never had any more noise but also i live in a warmer environment than you all do so might be some corrosion problems that is causing the problem.
  21. as Journeyman said, my fwd has more pep and power than the tires can handle, you lose hp when it is transferred to your rear wheels vs all the hp going to the front wheels. just the nature of the setup .
