might find it at your local auto salvage yard also,,, bfurth glad you posted this i didnt know the location for this part, does each wheel have its own module or is this for all 4 tires?
-
hope you didnt get hit to hard on the trade in, you will like the caravan just as much or maybe more than the journey as it will give you more room inside in case you got kids. i like the styling of the Journey better but the vans are really about the same and share a lot of the same components. good luck and be careful with your new purchase.....

usually its between 80-100 for a diagnostic check, if i was you i wouldn't bother having it fixed unless it is bothering you real bad, you might find a after market garage that would be a little cheaper i guess,

did you ever disconnect the battery for a while? it may be holding onto the old code after moving the wheel, good luck but sounds like a trip to the dealership for an expensive visit if its something you cant live without.

from what i seen they have a special tool that connects to the car that interacts with the main tpm modual and that has to be done soon after installing the new tpm. havent had any experience yet with problems from the tpm but i bet you are going to have to make a trip to a garage for service on your journey. good luck and keep us posted

google you tube for great info on most repairs.............my daughter just spent $250.on repairs to her sons car that was using coolant and after they gave it back to her after replacing thermostat and flush an something else ,2 days later it is still using coolant. i googled the car model and coolant leak took me 2 minutes to see this car has a bad history of leaks at the heater elbows that go thur the serpentine belt tensioner bracket and so i washed it off at the car wash drove it for a few minutes and sure enough it was leaking just a little bit at that elbow , so at least we know what to do next but you tube videos are a GREAT info for problems.

well sounds like they picked option # 2 or 4 of your options you gave them i would go new if at all possible as it sounds like their used inventory is not that great. your story reminded me of a deal i did yrs ago with the local ford dealer i was buying a mustang and their was a bad scratch on the drivers door of this brand new car, so they said dont worry we will fix it so they got me to sign the paperwork but at least i did get it in writing that they would fix it at a later date well 2 weeks later took it in to have it fixed and then went to pick it up later and all they had done was use a paint touch up pen and didnt even do a good job at it. i went ballistic fought with them for couple of weeks and they finally fixed it but then the paint didnt match to great but i was tried of arguing so i learned a valuable lesson never buy anything till its fixed or walk away.....hope things work out for you i feel your pain

well this has nothing to do about our journeys BUT my grandsons 2006 Pontiac grand prix started to over heat yesterday and before the heat gets in the danger zone, the car shuts off the air conditioning and shows a warning that it is because the car is going into engine protection mode, HUH thought that was a great idea all cars should have. Ended up being a stuck thermostat so the garage did a flush of the system and replaced it. saved him from burning up the engine as most young people like him doesn't pay any attention to the car,,,,

i use a Mr. clean eraser with a little Windex on the windshield does a fantastic job getting the road film off of it , never thought to try a coat of wax i did buy some rain x but it seams that when i use the new stuff, when going real slow like a parking lot and very light rain it makes the wipers start to jump or chatter and squeak if it is a heavy rain or using the squirters they dont jump or make noise, so i quit using it as of now .think ill give it a coat of wax and try that.

2011 RT Front Brakes 'dragging' and heating up
2late4u replied to lemdog's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
from what you have described looks like you have covered most of every thing, i would replace the rubber brake lines as mentioned as it would be the least expensive thing next, iv never had that problem but you are up in the rust and salt belt so that might be your problem other then that i would suggest a brake shop for more answers.good luck and report back what you find. P.S. there is a certain way to bleed your system so check that out also..... -
that is a lot of clicking, i would be ready if i was you that it might quit one day or strip the gears in the future, might want to run it by the dealership or a garage that handles things of that nature and just see what they think of the noise, and the could give you a heads up on what they think and a ballpark est. of what it might cost to fix so if it does break down you would have a head start on knowing what you are facing. good luck and take care.

you are sadly wrong on the speedos being set higher then actual, i worked at Chrysler in Huntsville Al and we made the speedos and they are set on dead on accurate, they have to be set that way other wise they would get sued if they set them wrong.the rest of your post is what it is , but it doesn't sound like a slight mod to me anyways good luck to you and be safe.... -
go with the sxt myself them tires are a lot cheaper to replace then the 19 inch (they do look better but dont last as long either)

hope every thing works out for you, i am surprised they are giving you the part for you to put on,let us know how everything works out for you. as jkeaton says not to bad of a price for them to put the new caliper on and i would have had them recheck the other 3 caliper and pins to make sure they were okay( just so it would have been on record that they had been corroded also) just to be safe and then let them do the fluid flush as if that doesn't fix everything then it is still on them, if you have problems at home now they might not cover the repair. good luck...

not trying to rain on your parade but you are going to be off almost 1 mph at 20 mph and almost 3 mph at 65 mph just for the sake of bigger tires which might cause some problems in a small fender bender or really rough azz road, oh well to each their own.and one final thought if you live in a snowy rejoin the build up of ice and slush could cause concern for tire clearance but as i live in sunny AL no such problems for me just the pollen avalanche that we get during the spring that changes my silver journey into a yellowish green color... good luck and keep it between the ditches .. -
something is seriously wrong

why not just keep improving the weak points and add a little more value and the journey could end up being a classic. VW had a winner with the bug as no matter how old it got you could always find parts for them and they worked great for what they were and the value they gave....to me if that is the new journey i would not be interested in it
-
nope and havent heared anyone complain of this problem on their journey. good luck

first off the factory doesn't grease them they come in from the supplier ready to be put on,yes its possible they didnt get greased from the supplier, second i just did my 2014 70 k on the pads they looked almost brand new(oh well) but i did add some slide pin grease as they did look a little on the skimpy side but dont overload them as they need room in the boots.i live in Al so we dont get much snow, more ice and they really dont salt the roads so my work is a lot easir then northern states.and no they wont give you the caliper and if they do cover them they would be the ones doing the work and with my mopar max warranty i have a 100, ded. any ways maybe you dont have a ded. good luck on what ever happens and report back to the forum....
