  1. because you answered it in your first post, by not doing the maintenance when you know its due.....
  2. go with dodge if you want oem and no hassles or problems will cost a little more but more quality parts used than off brand units.. the cheap comes out expensive ,most of the time.....
  3. call the dealership for a cost est. of course they will want you to pay a service call for checking it out... i am sure insurance will be the cheapest way to fix it...

mine did, i dont even use it i pulled it out and stashed it in the hall closet.also removed the second row headrest, gives a better view looking out the rear and side windows since we dont have kids or few riders in the second seat.. i have a 2014 crossroad.call your local dealer to find out what the preferred package covers..

  6. look on Craigs list for wheels for your journey i often see journey wheels listed there ,or by some aftermarket wheels and tires. discount tire online runs a lot of great discount during every holiday when buying tires and better deals when buying wheels and tires ,they also offer i think 6 months free financing check them out they are who i use for my tires and also my daughters mail vehicle..welcome to the group....
  7. long shot on the screen but remove it and make sure everything is connected tight, you tube has many vidioes on removing screen and trim and radio, also has battery removeal process on you tube
  8. as IMoore stated if your still in warranty yrs and miles you WOULD be covered even if your the 7th owner i guess who ever told you that it wasn't the dealership, so much for second hand advice.....and every manufacture has problems and glitches and since cars are getting so much more complicated with computers and software and also dealerships not able to catch up to all the new technology, there will always be problems and such.
  9. well since this does seam to be a rare problem i dont see how you can blame the manufacture as things do tend to break down or not work as expected ,sorry you are having this problem. guess its time to do what most of have to do .put it in for repair at the dealership and hope for the best.....good luck on what ever you do.
  10. you have to join only takes a few minutes then they approve you real quick
  11. mainly undersized brakes and rotors i had 2011 that was my only problem and i just used aftermarket rotors and pads, traded in at about 70k for my2014 a lot bigger brakes and rotors have about 72k on this one had to have a oil sender replaced at about 45k under my max care warranty.... i really like both journeys....P.S. had the 3.6 in both and as previous stated i have fwd i wouldn't buy a awd version.....
  12. little to pricey for me considering its for 2 small lights....
  13. sorry i dont like emblems i remove them, not add them but that is just me...
  14. welcome to the group had a 2011 white journey and now have a silver journey, white is nice when its clean but shows road film and dirt a lot. so i went with the silver...LOL getting lazy in my old age......
  15. bought some of 303 (30313-CSR) UV Protectant Spray for Vinyl, Plastic, Rubber, Fiberglass, Leather & More – Dust and Dirt Repellant - Non-Toxic, Matte Finish, 32 Fl. oz. seamed kind of pricey but had a lot of great reviews so i gave it a shot and got it off amazon about $20. for a big spray bottle used it inside the journey the other day and i really like it gave a nice coated shine to the dash and trim and wiped down the leather seats, went on easy and dried and wiped off easy great coverage and no missed spots that i got with other products. would recommend it to you all....
  16. yes,i was thinking of adding some 5-6 inch white led light bar to each side, was going to just screw them on top of the reflector instead of replacing the whole unit as shown and was going to hook them up to the back up light wiring only to give better light when backing up. after getting the lights the cost was i believe about $18 off amazon i decided to use them as lights under my hood so if needing to check the oil or something at night i would have a light i used a small switch to turn them on and off turned out nice.I would still like more light when backing up but these lights look like they do everything except the back up lights. if you do it give us some pics at night to see how it looks i seen one of the links from your link gives you a 25 percent discount off the lights.... KAWELL Universal mini Light Bar Bumper DRL Fog Light Motorcycle Light DRL Tail Backup Light Car Motor Clearance Marker Lights for ATV SUV Jeep Mine Boat 4x4 Ford F150 (2PCS 6-LED Light Bar) Sold by: KAWELL $16.99 were the ones i bought
  17. junk yard but i believe it would be hard to change it over to want you want.... but anything can be done with enough determination and $$$$$
  18. just the whine from the power steering pump i would imagine, so you waited this long to ask?
  19. my journey came with no heated seats so we had them added after market as the dealers didnt want to do it, so we have a 2 way switch that is located in the plastic side seat panel , easiest fix for you would be to add such a switch to yours. problem fixed for probably less than $10. if you do it your self.....that is what i would do.......good luck
