bought some of 303 (30313-CSR) UV Protectant Spray for Vinyl, Plastic, Rubber, Fiberglass, Leather & More – Dust and Dirt Repellant - Non-Toxic, Matte Finish, 32 Fl. oz. seamed kind of pricey but had a lot of great reviews so i gave it a shot and got it off amazon about $20. for a big spray bottle used it inside the journey the other day and i really like it gave a nice coated shine to the dash and trim and wiped down the leather seats, went on easy and dried and wiped off easy great coverage and no missed spots that i got with other products. would recommend it to you all....

yes,i was thinking of adding some 5-6 inch white led light bar to each side, was going to just screw them on top of the reflector instead of replacing the whole unit as shown and was going to hook them up to the back up light wiring only to give better light when backing up. after getting the lights the cost was i believe about $18 off amazon i decided to use them as lights under my hood so if needing to check the oil or something at night i would have a light i used a small switch to turn them on and off turned out nice.I would still like more light when backing up but these lights look like they do everything except the back up lights. if you do it give us some pics at night to see how it looks i seen one of the links from your link gives you a 25 percent discount off the lights.... Bad sounding ignition in cold weather
2late4u replied to Y0shimari0's topic in Engine & Transmission
just the whine from the power steering pump i would imagine, so you waited this long to ask? -
my journey came with no heated seats so we had them added after market as the dealers didnt want to do it, so we have a 2 way switch that is located in the plastic side seat panel , easiest fix for you would be to add such a switch to yours. problem fixed for probably less than $10. if you do it your self.....that is what i would do.......good luck

easy to replace.

well since no mention of miles i will assume no warranty is left, you could always pull the fuse for the seats till you can get it looked at...good luck

normal sound for most journeys at times my 2011 did it more than my 2014 does there was a transmission flash that some have said helped check with your local dealership to see if its been done or if they could do it for no charge good luck usually it only happened to mine when i seemed to shift it too fast between one or the other,,,,,,,also the squeak or the noise you might hear from time to time going over bumps is kind of the same thing mostly from the struts is also a common standard complaint good luck and happy driving lots of great info check put the forum section for more info on what the posters are talking about

my 2011 had a few times it hung up with the air coming out the floor but always reset it self after a short while, havent had any problems with 2014 model knock on wood

most auto parts store should know or call the dodge dealer for the correct answer and get your torque specs as well

Temporary Electrical Failure
2late4u replied to timduncan86's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
sorry to hear about your father and job loss but electrical problems can be hard to find and expensive to fix good luck -
wouldn't think so since it is on the battery but that part inst cheap either, might want to have a mech check it out the shotgun approach of changing parts can get expensive, wouldn't have any idea on how to check that part hell didnt even knew it existed till i read the other poster talking about it.

also i would check all the wiring to and from the alt check for loose and bare wiring, bad connectors and also check the alt decoupler to make sure it is still good ,had one go bad on my daughters caravan we thought it was the alt but it was that decoupler pulley

well advance auto parts are not really top grade even tho i use some parts from them sometimes.my dad yrs ago was out of town and had an alternator go bad and the mech put on one from a auto store like advance with a lifetime warranty and got half way home on their trip and the van quit again well it was the alternator again so it was replaced under warranty no problem, except different mech so their was a charge for the labor then when he got home from the trip about a week later it went bad again. so this time he had it towed in to the dodge dealership and they said it was the alternator was bad , he told them the problems he was having with it and they told him sometimes on parts like that you really need to replace with the Mopar part so he said go for it. never had any more problem with it again.of course the part was a lot higher from the dealership and he was able to get his money back from the chain store for their alternator after showing them all the paperwork
