first off syn at the dealership is really high, 2nd just do your first 4 free oil changes at 6 k not 3 k just wasting your free changes. and by oil extractor i am assuming you mean a tube down the oil stick tube it would work but probally wont get all the oil out and or any residue that would drain out by removing the drain plug.after looking at the oil extractor kind of pricey and had some bad reviews . think i ( 65 yr old fat man)would stay with the oil pan and remove the drain plug i mean its usually only once a yr or so...good luck

i have the one seat in the back so havent looked but if that is all no problem removing the 4 bolts that is how they did at the factory. are trying to say both car seats to still be put in the second seat even if you remove the partial one? is the child safety seat hooks still there for both of them?
-
i've read even some states are outlawing the underside lights
-
well with 2 car seats in the second row the 10 yr old might have to start going in thur the rear hatch is all i can come up with kind of limited on options.....
-
yea def looks like a repaint, good luck

have a 2014 myself only problem i've had is a oil senor at about 45k went bad, but other than that no problem except replacement tires on these 19 rims are costly kind of wish i had the 17 inch rims that i had on my 2011 journey back. love my journey...

it was my mistake on the back up cam, i guess she had added a aftermarket dash cam that was causing the battery drain....
-
ah read dash cam and my mind read back up cam guess because it was a 2017,wasn't expecting aftermarket equipment....

thanks for the fed back it might help out the next journey owner having problems as your. never knew we had a sensor down there. man i am getting old and tired of all this new shit.... -
was the backup cam a mopar installed option or aftermarket unit? can't understand why a battery protector kill switch was installed by the dealership as i would believe there are hundreds of thousands of journeys with back up cams that doesn't have this battery protector installed,. I hope this really does solve your problem and let us know as might be some help for other journey owners as well....

should have bought the truck if that was important to you,all vehicles have different option and different components...it is not inferior just a different type of back up cam software and or parts.. -

www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/lemon-law-used-cars-30107.html a few hurdles you have to jump thur before it can be taken processed being a lemon law case and of course it is proablly different in every state, give them time to try to fix it and keep all written paperwork and if they tell you something make them put it in writeing so you will have proof of what they have told you.....

well this post had me thinking about my K&N air filter so thought id pull it and check it, it was a little dirty so i cleaned it the best i could and reinstalled it so i started looking over the whole engine and lo and behold the back end of the air tube from the filter box was hanging about 1 inch below the opining that it is supposed to be attached to, now that end of the tube is far back behind the engine and it is actually hard to get to. i know i have never touched it before i did have that oil sensor replaced about a yr ago so that is i guess the mech never got it back on right after working on it or it's been that way from new. i had to loosen the clamp to get it back on in fact i rubbed a little dawn dish soap on the rubber edge and the plastic lip to be able to get it attached correctly and then tighten the clamp back down tight. i'll be keeping an eye on it from now on. with the beauty cover on top of the engine it is real hard to see this clamp. didnt have no codes or anything like that and mpg was about the same so it was just because of this post and not being in a hurry and just giving the engine a good looking over that i caught it....

do yourself a favor and go to harbor freight and buy you the 18 inch breaker bar with a 19mm socket , a lot easier to break them lug nuts loose with that then the wimpey wrench from the factory, catch them on sale and get both for less than $15. and use a coupon for a free gift to boot......

watched the cleaning video so basically it's just a thicker K&N filter, let us know when you get it and what you think of it, not a bad price think i paid about the same for my K&N yrs ago , hell i might want to get one so when i clean and wash my K&N out i could throw that one in while mine is drying as it takes them a longggg time to dry and K&N says not to use compressed air on them....

crazy how much the air filters are for our journeys, my daughters caravan filter was almost the same size and was about 1/3 the price of the journeys, i've bought the KN filter for my 2011 journey ran it for 70k and switched it to my 14 and have 72 k on it now havent had any problems yet using the oiled KN....knock on wood.... lol

while you are at it make a youtube video of it also....

2late4u replied to klingoff's topic in Climate Control
well not to say this happened to your journey but vehicles do get damaged at the factory before they are shipped out, as i worked at the caravan plant in St. Louis mo for 2 yrs before i was able to retire. man some things happen it is hard to say WTF happened as they push the workers so hard. that said no telling what is going on with your journey and i hope you get it fixed and enjoy driving it....... -
