2014 Dodge Journey Limited starting problem
2late4u replied to Josh Lambert's topic in Engine & Transmission
i agree i have already replaced my battery in mu 2014 and since you already have it out that is half the battle, unless he did a load test on your old battery it might not hold up. -
once when i was working in St Louis at the van plant had to learn to use the robot arm to lift and install the rear bumper covers on the vans like jkeaton said ,just a few screws and push pins. good luck

when my oil pressure sender went bad it just showed highest pressure reading but the engine was running fine, no starting problems, so that is all i can tell you, dealer said he was getting a lot of 2014 for the oil sender shorting out. you might have a different problem since you are having problems starting it,i wouldn't drive it just have it towed in. sorry cant tell you anything to help good luck......

i never had either but transmission costing 4-5k and so many computers and electronics if you plan on keeping it a long time i would get one as i did. just plug your info in at the chryslerfactoryplan.com just to see what it would cost you,as i said it depends on how long you plan to keep it... also i would recommend only a MOPAR warranty not aftermarket 3rd party ones

http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/ is where i bought mine max warranty good for unlimited miles and yrs with a $100 ded. they wouldn't even sell me this warranty at my local dealership, cost me about 2230. but that was in 2014, last time i checked for a Pacific same warranty they were up to 2800 but if you plan on keeping it a long time as much electronics and the engine and trans replacement cost are so high i would recommend it.....

well i had bought some small led lights to use as a back light additions but ended up using them under the hood and instead of a pin switch right by where you reach for the hood lift rod there was a small spot that the rocker switch fit real neat and tidy that i decided to use, ran the wires under the hood pad and with one set of led lights on both sides of the hood, oh well looks great and throws a lot of light will make checking the oil or what ever at night a lot easier. cost was about $22. all together , would still like to add some extra back up lights guess ill try led bulbs first might be enough....

on the no heat to the rear that could be a problem and i do agree only i live in al and no kids so not much of a problem but i do miss the rear air, as on 5 passenger journey there is no rear air.... i had a 2011 7 passenger with the rear air, didnt even think that would be a problem when i traded in on my 2014 crossroad, hindsight can be a bitch sometime, i sure wouldn't recommend the 5 passenger out any one out west or any further south than i am....

have no idea, maybe drill part of the center out to get behind the rest of the plug to have something to grab onto it, good luck think you will need it...

welcome to the group and good luck on the maps issue LOL

iv never had the drivers side break if you have had both break, i would take in put a screw thur the plastic towards the front side and about in the middle to reinforce the plastic clip that holds it on so it wont break again so easy...... take care

Gear Indicator Light Question
2late4u replied to josiahdwill's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
lol never have paid attention i guess went outside and checked since its dark out, all mine are lit up so take it back and show the dealership what it is doing.....and if you dont have a warranty on it i wouldn't worry about it... -
to be honest you are asking us readers who by the most dont have extensive mechanical experience on what to do to your journey after you said the mech told you what he thinks is wrong, and you dont want him to do it and do it yourself. that said we get post like this everyday and then the posters dont like what we have said or dont know how to do the repair. working on problems like yours is for experienced mech and shops that have the tools and equipment for doing the job, maybe one of our members might be able to help you but your best bet is finding a good mech you trust and go for it, good luck on what ever you do and please report back on what you find out is your problem so others might benefit from what you find out...

Weird Clicking Noise when turning off [With Video]
2late4u replied to bobman's topic in Engine & Transmission
cant hear a darn thing in your video, but journys tend to make some noise after shutting off heater doors resettling and such dont worry about it, but if it bothers you run it by your dealership since you still have warranty...- 7 replies

has alot of good info on most dodge and jeeps....

find a local mechanic as it sounds like you might not be up to doing the work to find out the problem, also has the antifreeze ever been changed....do you have good heat coming out the heater. do you ever hear or see the rad fan coming on and off. so if you are not losing fluid i would suspect a bad thermostat and or the fans not working or the water pump not working properly..
-
well a lot more info would be nice. miles, maintenance on the vech, when you noticed the problem and how long it has been going on. any thing you can give us and we might be able to help
-
i would second the heater core needs replacing and since no info on how long you have owned it ,or maintenance records on antifreeze service being done. go for it.....
-
either one that gets you your answer....you want the ph ## also?

Idea.... call the dodge dealership and ask them for the correct info instead of asking for info that might not be correct.....P.S. 65 yrs old never have i used a torque wrench on spark plugs.....
