  1. as long as you dont use the car wiring and use the curt wire harness that runs to the battery you wont have to have it flashed,on the weight check your book to see what your engine and journey can handle, should be okay but check with your dealership for the final answer if your not sure..... good luck
  2. congrats looks good..
  3. well not enough info, are you still within the 3/36 k if so take it back to the dealer,, if not i wouldn't worry about?
  4. well as i said if i was guessing but i would find a different mech as yours sounds like he is guessing good luck
  5. clock spring or wiring in the steering wheel if i was guessing, i would find a different mechanic...
  6. full coverage insurance a deserted road and a can of gas with a match and a getaway car i guess.....
  7. they ask for help then say nope not it.........P.S. make sure all battery connections are clean and tight
  8. usually you will notice if its a water pump leaking as it will sling up on the firewall, small leak from the freeze plugs, also could be your rad cap ( my daughter had a new rad put in her van and was still losing fluid every so often i happened to have an extra cap so i switched it out and no more leaks)
  9. spark plugs will get you every time
  10. have had 2 journeys from 2011 till now never had such a problem and i sure dont plan to test it to see what would happen 7yrs without a problem myself....
  11. things change on automobiles all the time, some parts added or subtracted for cost savings and whatever....
  12. well my front windshield squirts not working but the rear is thought it was froze up but i have the right fluid in there it it is only 25 degrees so i pop the hood and reach in and hit the squirter button and the hose is broke right at the end of the hood where it then makes a u turn going back towards the front and up to the squirt broke right at the u bend also they used a plastic tube hose cant believe they are that dam cheap. went and got a 5/32 rubber tube hose had to buy 6 ft as orileys only sells it in a package about $3.60 for the packet, cut about a foot of it and moisten the end and slid it over the plastic tube nice tight fit and then did the other end and then zip tied the hose to the old hose connectors clips as the new tube wouldn't fit thur the connectors....everything working great again... oh well thats life..
  13. not much to say except check all the connections that they are tight ,have to be something you did .
  14. he had 5 days to decided to return it from what i see on their website, like i said i would push them, since you had so much trouble with it and they have had it at their shop for so much of the time you had it to sell you a warranty at cost or cheap enough to make you feel better about buying it...plus keep ALL the paper work and transactions of your dealings with them just in case you do try to go to court...Hopefully things will work out with it as i love my 2014 crossroad.
  15. if it were possible the manufactures would be all over it, just more snake oil for people with too much money.....
  16. i would be after them to give you an extended warranty at cost if they try to make you take this journey, as i said i love mine and only had i problem at about 45k with the oil sending unit go bad but i have an extended warranty so that helped, but some cars of all brands sometimes are just trouble....
  17. to be honest I have had 2 journeys and loved them both but i think i recommend trying to get them to give you a different car sounds like this journey might be a problem child and it could get a lot more expensive after they quit wanting to fix it for free under their warranty good luck on what you decided to do keep us informed....
  18. have the plugs been changed could be a fuel pump problem who knows....
  19. i am with larryl change your plugs first... then check fuel pressure
  20. well if the name fits.it must be true.
  21. i was going to add the pin switch with some led lights, just wondering if any journeys had the hood light system from the factory is all
