was going to add an under the hood led light with the auto on-off pin switch and then thought hell ill call the dealership parts place an see what it would cost, well then he wanted the vin # and then still couldn't come up with a kit to do it. got me wondering do any of the journeys have the hood light? and then when i asked even if he could get me one that would work would i have to have a sales code and get it flashed like the trailer lights do and he couldn't answer that one. so guess ill just have to order the parts off amazon or quit checking the oil at night LOL

Alternator replacement 2012 6 cyl
2late4u replied to machm1970's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
first off change the battery then take it to your local parts store(auto shack, orilleys, advance auto) let them do a check of your charging system to see what their equipment finds then go from there. good luck i changed mine out a few months ago best price on batteries i found was at sams but ended up getting a little better deal at batteries plus -

maybe he was holding his tongue just right...... -
well i watched a you tube on doing it and even as cheap as i am i think i will defer to the dealership or a local trusted mech as seams like like a lot of wiring has to be undone and since i have the lifetime warranty think ill just let them do it so it will be on record and as the older i get i second guess myself on things, maybe if i had watched someone do it in person i might try it. oh well better to be then sorry.......actually have been watching the dealerships for a service coupon on the tuneup havent sen anything in a long time its like they dont run service discounts anymore?

i quit pushing the button as i caught myself touching the inside of the handle by accident about the same time thus stopping the locking action and you might have a moisturer problem in the outside handle and being in the extreme cold causing a problem, sometimes i still lock the car and walk away and get the 3 warning beeps that it thought id left my keys in it but they are in my pocket, BUT i gave up worrying about that as they couldn't tell me why it was happening. that all i got.

To buy a demo or not & dealer cost
2late4u replied to jimisand's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
knowing that figure you are looking for is a closely guarded secret and it varies as bramfrank has told you. that said you are buying a used vehicle , so it doesn't matter what you hope to find out what it is.What only matters what you are willing to pay and what they will accept. good luck on your quest... -

might have been a shortage of units due to build and this crew was probally just a stock order, that said it will cost you a lot more to upgrade it now than $250 . good luck on what ever you decide..... -

What Engine Operating Temperatures?
2late4u replied to onecrazyfoo4u's topic in Engine & Transmission
of course it is BAD to drive it with high oil pressure and not running at reg temp, have you done damage probally not but who knows... i would change the thermostat first thing off or get it to a mechanic to check it out before your big trip....good luck -
ah, take it to a mechanic. you give no details on mileage and you say you are not mechanical but ask for help. find a good mechanic you trust instead of using a shotgun approach to auto repair...it will be cheaper than just replacing parts.. good luck
