maybe buying a 8 yr old car without having it inspected by a mechanic wasn't a great idea, was it blowing heat from the heater before you bought it?

google ome dodge journey interior parts online..... copy and paste this then click on it then scroll down to your year journey then scroll down to #5 and decide which one you want. took me about 5 minutes to find on the internet. to install it won't be to bad but i believe you will have to undo the seatbelt then reinstall it..... and yes i had to fix my right side on my 2011 and then it broke again after warranty went out, fixed it with a black screw, no more problem , also on my 2014 on the passenger side again broke did the same as jkeaton said a well placed black screw and no more problem

welcome to the group -
to be honest i think it's a sharp looking on the outside as it is now, they could freshen up the interior and make improvements on the electronics (nav) and the squeaking of the struts, get rid of the 19 inch wheels and go with something in a even size so getting tires would be cheaper and more selection.

have no idea what you are talking about

my 2014 crossroad with 67k on it i noticed the rear tires wearing on the inside all the way around ,so took it for a 4 wheel alignment which cost you more then the 2 wheel alignment expect to pay around 79 -90 for it i had mine done at my dealership cost me 89. the guy said the front end was in spec but said the rear was out quite a bit,

i was just checking led fog light bulbs and most are rated at about 1000 or 1200 lms each they make it look higher in the bold print like 2000lm but that is divided between the 2 bulbs in the small print. so dont know if you can buy bigger lamps as i didnt see any,but also i didnt search that long. good luck ill just stick with the org ones as i dont use them anyways...

i just checked my front and rear pads on 2014 crossroad have about 1/4 inch thickness on the pads front and rear with around 67 k on them i did a lot of traveling the first 2 yrs and live in a small town so not a lot of stop and go. so i will check them again about 75k and might change them then just to be on the safe side i dont believe in trying to wear them down to the nub before replacing them,as you might go too long and ruin a rotor...

so true jkeaton, you're only a doormat if you let them treat you that way...

I found the near identical brass "T" connector at Home Depot- Sharkbite PEX P/N UC370LFA, SKU 697285919914. Don't forget to pick up 3 - 4 adjustable hose clamps, 1/2" to 1-1/4". You will probably also need 1' of 5/8" radiator heater hose for the connection to the engine tube. I found no reason to drain down any coolant- simply replaced any small amount following a test- just topped off what antifreeze that was needed. i checked several videos on you tube a lot of them using a brass t connector .dont know if that would be better than the aluminum one sold by dorman company, would use it befor using a copper tee ,one person said he bought the aluminum one and it split after one yr....

you should get your friend to make 10 or 15 of them and then put them on ebay for sale........here is one kit../www.ebay.com/sch/eBay-Motors-/6000/m.html?_ssn=newyorkbuyer you tube video Fix Y Pipe Heater Hose Leak kit 2008-2014 Dodge Caravan Chrysler Town and Country Minivan couldn't find one on journey but gives you idea on what is done...

first thing i would have done is swing by the dealership, they probably could help for free. i was having problems removing my second row headrest and was afraid of messing them up, went by the dealer and the manager said yea they come off he went out with me and showed me how to remove them, no problem and he created goodwill for free. a win-win....

well if it's the org thermostat i'd try replacing that at least you would eliminate that from list.i would assume if it was stuck open tho your engine temp would be showing that.

Trouble with LED headlight
2late4u replied to HugoClement's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
was this 3 different sets of led (different brands ) or all from the same brand.......as i had no problem with my led lights. -
could be fixed as easy as just replacing the cap or something more complicated who knows.my son has a 5 yr old gmc truck that has twice had a warning light about his emission control problem both times has been a cheap fix but it happens to all the manufacture of autos. nature of the beast, of course in the old days you wouldn't get no warnings that something wasn't right and it would go until it caused a real problem or breakdown at a unfortunate time. just wait till we get driverless cars won't that be fun,,,,,, i dont think so...
-
if it was me and you are planning on keeping it for a long time i would probably replace all the mounts eng and trans.cheaper to do all at once then at different times....
-
probally a freeze plug that has rusted out, you need to get a mechanic to check it out. or fooling with it yourself you will probably overheat the engine and ruin it... good luck
-
replace the engine mounts and then see if the noise is gone.

been wanting to get one also seems like biggest complaint is the can't handle the heat thur the windshield, seems like a unit with a remote camera would be the best solution to that problem, and also theft it it was remote like in the glove box or somewhere away from line of sight and heat. what units have you looked at?
