  1. discount tire always runs a great sale on tires during a holiday( thanksgiving coming up) you pay reg price on a set of 4 tires and they usually have at least $ 65-100 rebates from the manufacture plus an extra $ 65-75 rebate from them and if you use their credit card (easy to apply and get immediately approved) you get an extra $30-65 rebate they also ship the tires for free. Plus no sales tax unless your state requires it... have bought 2 sets from them and you get them within 3-5 days .... tire rack you have to pay for the shipping....

    Ugh. Winter

sounds like a great plan you have,do you have a place in Australia or just visiting. stay safe mate
  3. also when you put the best tires on they still can get ruined by your alignment as that has just happened to me ,my rear tires started wearing on the inside of the tires from the rear aliment went bad and i rotate and balance my tires every 10k but by the time i noticed it both rear tires are quite wore down on just the inside of them and it is hard to see that while they are on the car also with the alignment out of wack the car didnt change the way it was riding it didnt pull or run bad. so i expect to get maybe about another 10k out of them but i have 32k on them now and they were rated for 70k on the warranty of course even the fronts wouldn't have made that amount either. these 19 tires just dont seam to last like the 17 inch on i had on my 2011 journey did i got 65 k on them...so this next time i am going to do what jkeaton said and go with the beal deal i can get ... i am running cooper cs5 touring tires now....
  4. well since you havent said how long you have had the car( the trans has a learning period on your driving habits)or how many miles are on the speedo, condition of the vehicle. its hard to give advice, i have a 2014 crossroad with about 68k on it and I dont have the problem you describe feeling something thur the pedals or seat i might would suggests brake rotors but only if felt when braking. possible bent wheel or maybe a wheel bearing starting to go bad, what ever you find let us know and good luck .also might could be a bad spark plug i had something like that yrs ago on a caravan drove me crazy as it didnt cause enough trouble till it finally went bad enough to find it... just a thought on the plugs
  5. well you could jump start it and take it down to the local auto part store most will check your battery for free and your charging system. sounds most likely your battery is going bad, that would be the first thing to do, that said it is under the the wheel well and is best to remove the tire for easier replacement.good luck and also buy the best battery you can since it is in a bad location....check out you tube for some videos on what you will be doing or pay someone couple hundred to do it for you...
  6. has been discussed alot look thur the forum for what you need.....

    OEM Heated Seat

we bought a 2014 crossroad that didnt have heated seats the dealer said they wouldn't install them as the passenger seat has a different kind of airbag sensor in it if the car comes from the factory without the heated seats. so i had Katzkin install the heated seats, but they also wouldn't put a heater on the passanger side seat bottom due for the same reason, but actually the wife decided she likes it better with just the back of the seat having the heater in it as that way she can use it during the summer when her back is hurting, i have been thinking of disabling the bottom seat heater on the drivers side as well for the same reason and it doesn't get that cold down in alabama for both the upper and lower heating element....
  9. i have been running that size for 1 1/2 yrs no problem speedo is 1 mph slower than actual, so if you are going 70 by your speedo you are actually going 71
  10. maybe buying a 8 yr old car without having it inspected by a mechanic wasn't a great idea, was it blowing heat from the heater before you bought it?
  11. google ome dodge journey interior parts online..... copy and paste this then click on it then scroll down to your year journey then scroll down to #5 and decide which one you want. took me about 5 minutes to find on the internet. to install it won't be to bad but i believe you will have to undo the seatbelt then reinstall it..... and yes i had to fix my right side on my 2011 and then it broke again after warranty went out, fixed it with a black screw, no more problem , also on my 2014 on the passenger side again broke did the same as jkeaton said a well placed black screw and no more problem
  12. to be honest i think it's a sharp looking on the outside as it is now, they could freshen up the interior and make improvements on the electronics (nav) and the squeaking of the struts, get rid of the 19 inch wheels and go with something in a even size so getting tires would be cheaper and more selection.
  13. have no idea what you are talking about
  14. my 2014 crossroad with 67k on it i noticed the rear tires wearing on the inside all the way around ,so took it for a 4 wheel alignment which cost you more then the 2 wheel alignment expect to pay around 79 -90 for it i had mine done at my dealership cost me 89. the guy said the front end was in spec but said the rear was out quite a bit,
  15. ?. when i googled garmin 50lmt it brings up a navigation unit, not a dash camera. am i missing something.....
  16. i was just checking led fog light bulbs and most are rated at about 1000 or 1200 lms each they make it look higher in the bold print like 2000lm but that is divided between the 2 bulbs in the small print. so dont know if you can buy bigger lamps as i didnt see any,but also i didnt search that long. good luck ill just stick with the org ones as i dont use them anyways...
  17. i just checked my front and rear pads on 2014 crossroad have about 1/4 inch thickness on the pads front and rear with around 67 k on them i did a lot of traveling the first 2 yrs and live in a small town so not a lot of stop and go. so i will check them again about 75k and might change them then just to be on the safe side i dont believe in trying to wear them down to the nub before replacing them,as you might go too long and ruin a rotor...
  18. so true jkeaton, you're only a doormat if you let them treat you that way...
  19. I found the near identical brass "T" connector at Home Depot- Sharkbite PEX P/N UC370LFA, SKU 697285919914. Don't forget to pick up 3 - 4 adjustable hose clamps, 1/2" to 1-1/4". You will probably also need 1' of 5/8" radiator heater hose for the connection to the engine tube. I found no reason to drain down any coolant- simply replaced any small amount following a test- just topped off what antifreeze that was needed. i checked several videos on you tube a lot of them using a brass t connector .dont know if that would be better than the aluminum one sold by dorman company, would use it befor using a copper tee ,one person said he bought the aluminum one and it split after one yr....
