i had my sender go bad also at around 48 k but was during the hot summer, had a local dealership ( i was on a trip out of my home state) repair under my extended warranty. he said the have had quite a few go bad he said the sender is working fine just reading high pressure , they must have gotton a bad load of units for our 2014 journeys oh well ended up costing me my $100 deductible the sender is in a real hard place to reach on the engine,,

didnt they tell you that you get free oil changes the first 2 yrs? also if your changing your oil and dont reset the reminder that why is why it went off after just 1 k of driving. i dont believe our journeys oil reminder actual checks the condition of the oil like my daughters G.M. Tahoe does, i believe it is more off the miles you drive and maybe the way you drive... just what i believe...i bet your reminder will start going off around 6- now you do know how to reset it dont you? if not its in the manual real easy.

lol ok -
my daughters one coil pack was going bad on her caravan and her regular mechanic replaced it once also, then it went bad he replaced it again for free since the party was covered under his warranty then it started acting up again so she took it to him and by then it was running OK so he started checking the wiring and found the plastic connector from the wire harness that connected to the coil pack was shorting out on the inside of the connector,he replaced that connector and she never had any more problems with the coil pack.

well you know what they say about a rental car drive like you stole it..and most people do just that and believe me rental cars are not maintained like they should be, that is called down time and that does not making them any money.... good luck -
well he should be able to see for himself if their is any leaks, even small ones leave fluid and dirt build up where they are leaking.depends on how the vehicle was driven during the time he owned it and what kind of roads it was driven on, but yes i would defiantly get a second opinion on what is needed

Is it possible to add automatic headlights???
2late4u replied to decoyboogie's topic in Accessories, Modifications
i went the website he is charging 332.50 now plus your install or do it yourself and let the dealer flash your journey to activate it. part #822125533ab or just click on the journey pic and scroll down to the back up cam. have no idea if they are prewired but there has been a discussion on here that it is, but some say they can't find the wires. car manufactures are always looking for the cheapest way to build the car so i would say no it's not pre wired for it.and i use to work for chrysler and they look to save a fraction of a cent due to large volume it addas up.... good luck- 21 replies

i was told if you upgrade stay with an even number size wheel that the tires for those are a lot more reasonable .yea theses 19 look good but can get expensive, id say i saved about $ 300-350 when i bought them thur discount tire compared to the local tire stores
-
just picked the tires up this morning, checked the manufacturing date and they were made the 17 week of 2017 so only couple of months old.....KM-04 if you have the 19 inch tire you won't find tires cheaper anywhere else i upsized and bought 235 55 19 cooper cs5 on my 2014 and have already put 30 k on them and they look less than half used, this size throws off your speed by 1 mph @ 70 mph.... i love cooper tires.... bought hankook tires this time for my daughter's jeep....
-
starting today and till after labor day discount tire online has their tires on sale with great rebates, just ordered 4 tires for my daughters jeep total 436. with no sales tax and will get back 3 rebates one for 50 from hankook 75 from discount tires and 60 from discount tires for using their credit card and buying 4 tires at one time after having them mounted at walmart final cost on each tire will be 77 each installed this their 70k mile rated tire....so nows the time to buy if you need tires www.discounttiredirect.com/tires ps i ordered them at 3 pm today (monday) got a email from ups says the tires will be delivered tuesday morning so i will pick them up the ups station so i dont have to wait all day for them that is fast delivery...

i use the K&N filter as i bought it for my 2011 journey at that time i couldn't find air filter for less than $20 for the journey,( i paid about $40. off amazon and figured after 2 filters i was even) so when i traded the journeyt in i kept it for my 14 crossroad. Since then air filter for the journeys are easier to find and the price has comer down some. and yes cleaning it isn't any problems but you do have to let it dry which takes a while and then re-oil it, no big problem and as Jkeaton has said many claim seeing mpg and or increased horsepower from using it and that is a big laugh as you won't see that...better off switching to syn oil for any benefits....i did buy a K&N cabin air filter which will save you big $$ as them little filters can get expensive and it's just a simple clean it and let it dry or shake it to get rid of excess water and spray with whatever you want to put on it ( i just use some pledge clean and dust) and replace......

LOL yea you can get your hand in there but damn it hurts and YOU will end up with a small scratch or two

There is a benefit in that the life of an HIR1 and HIR2 bulb is about double that of a conventional halogen bulb. Info on HIR bulbs: http://store.candlepower.com/9011hir.html One key on the base of HIR bulbs has to be trimmed to fit into the 9005/9006 receiver. There are templates for this and it is simple to do. I bought mine from candlepowerinc.com The have a deal for a set of 4 bulbs for $70 . . . . . http://store.candlepower.com/hirsponeseto.html A template for trimming the bulb base can be found on this page: http://store.candlepower.com/mohirbuba.html this site was recommended by one of our members

i havent priced our journey rotors but i know on my older caravans it wasn't that much more to buy new from advance auto than it was to turn them and that way you always had new thicker rotors that way...also they can ruin your rotors if they try to take off too much to save time...

yea i have about 64 k on my 2014 and i checked my pads not to long ago and they still looked great.stay safe
