  1. welcome to the group,a lot of good info here, be aware we dont diesels in our journeys, we have a lot of members all around the world ,kind of interesting, hope you enjoy and share ideas and pictures of your journey and your country side......
  2. why while waiting on corporate to make up their minds, why not buy the new hoses and have them put them on or let them do it and then recoup your losses back after they make their decision one way or another you have to get it fixed and had you done that to begin with your girlfriend wouldn't have lost her job. i know you and or others will berate me for suggesting this but some times you have to cut your losses and get on with your life. ALSO you really do have to let the dealership check it out for a diagnostic as they cant really go on what the customer tells them no matter how long you have been a mechanic,,,,,, not trying to throw gas on a lit fire...... hope everything works out for you.
  3. to be honest if you have to ask you would be better off letting them do it. even if you do it you will have to have them enable it, plus their wouldn't be any warranty if you do it. my son had an aftermarket remote installed on his Honda and they had all kinds of trouble but they did finally get it working okay. also we have had other posters asking how to get their aftermarket stuff working with their journeys. but beat of luck on what ever you decide.....
  4. reconnect with the dodge dealership and have them explain it was bought in az but you are now living permanent in ak corp should make an exception on the coverage for the power steering hose since you are now in ak. hope you get some relieve
  5. I had a flat on one of the rear tires that's not repairable could I run one of the old tire on there........................................... what ever
  6. well go for it and report back what happens, well that is if you are changing ALL the tires but you are only changing one tire if i read your report right also one wheel will be turning at a different rate then your other tires. but hey let us know.
  7. should be okay as long as you dont have awd and just fwd
  8. i dont take chances with mopar batteries i just changed out my 2014 battery nothing wrong as far as i knew but my daughter needed one for her back up mail vehicle as hers went dead so swapped them out for her and a new one for me ,all set for a couple of years now i hope......if your journey is acting erratically change the battery out its at least 4-5 yrs old if its the org. one.
  9. my daughters caravan also had a bearing on her alternator go bad it made a loud whine that got louder the faster you went, i forget the name of that bearing i believe that has been posted here check out u tube for info
  10. never had to replace on my journey but did replace 1 on my daughters 2007 caravan pretty easy check out u tube for videos on it they will be your best bet on info
  11. hope you dont get rear ended because someone didnt see you brake lights till the last moment, i like me brake lights to be bright as possible, as i had someone rear end my granddaughters van thank god they were all right but as the girl said i didnt see them stopped at the light......
  12. whats the scoop on this oil change plugs, looks convenient but looks like draining your oil would take a lot longer. F106SX: NEW GENERATION FUMOTO® VALVE WITH 14MM-1.5 about 32.95 on amazon they do have a different one that is about $24.
  13. had mine done but stayed legal so the front windows are not quite as dark as the back......
  14. on one of the replacement blades i had that didnt wipe at the top ,i noticed all the blades are made of plastic so i tried heating it up with my heat gun so i could get the top 2 inches of it to bend a little but no luck all it did was break,if any of them were made out of metal you could proably bend it to wipe better but i try not to pay any attension to it. i always didnt like the way it only wipes 3/4 of a wipe, on the caravans their wipers wipes from one side to the other
  15. if it was fixed properly no problem, thing is when they do that it has no real resale value and because it was so expensive to fix that it why they totaled it so WAS it fixed properly? to be honest my son in law bought a salvage that had been fixed and whoever repaired it did take a lot of shortcuts on the repairs, it drove okay, but you wonder what toll it took on the frame. good luck.
  16. guess he means...... "OEM" redirects here. For other uses, see OEM (disambiguation). An original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is a company that makes a part or subsystem that is used in another company's end product.[1] For example, if Acme Manufacturing Co. makes power cords that are used on IBM computers, Acme is an OEM. However, the term is used in several other ways, which causes ambiguity. It sometimes means the maker of a system that includes other companies' subsystems, an end-product producer, an automotive part that is manufactured by the same company that produced the original part used in the automobile's assembly, or a value-added reseller.[2][3][4]
  17. the nav units seam to be talked about here quite a lot, dont think it would be worth the effort or money to change it out. congrats on your purchase also on the extended warranty good choice on that. i have a 2014 and about 53k had a small problem while on a vacation had to take it in to a dodge dealership they provided me a free rental car and fixed my journey no problem with just my $100. ded, i have the max life and miles on my crossroad also.

  24. have him bring it over to your house and hold it under your frame you should be able to see if the holes line up with your holes in your frame. also the correct hitch only cost about $120. on amazon, that is where i bought my curt hitch from ,fit like a charm P.S. there should also be 2 shims that i believe you will need on the rear bolts of the hitch one each side.
