  1. well if the noise as you stated brothers you i would suggest not buying it. as for me i love my journey, first one 2011 now a 2014 but like the other poster said i live in the south so not much snow, but i try not to be to picky about the little things. but like i said if this bothers you before you have bought, it it will bug the hell out of you later...good luck with what ever you decide on.....
  2. well my granddaughter and her brother and his wife with their 1 yr old baby got rear ended today in their 2004 caravan that i gave her. they were stopped at a red light behind another car and a young girl slammed into the back of her van and then pushed her into the car in front of her, van will probably be totaled i sure. crunched the front end almost into the engine and the rear was pushed in almost to the rear bench seat... weird that none of the air bags went off!!!! everyone went to the Emerg Rm. but then they were released a few hours later guess they will be real sore tomorrow. at least the girl that hit her had insurance... her air bag went off and it had blood all over the steering wheel havent heard how she ended up... always thought if you were hit hard front or rear the air bags were supposed to protect you,of course they way the air bags problems going on maybe they are lucky they didnt go off....sure am glad they are all safe and the Emerg. rm was telling them that after a wreck they are supposed to replace the baby seat even if it doesn't look like nothing is wrong with it....you all take care out there and be on the look out for the other guy.all in a blink of an eye.......
  3. i would take it back and let them do a cold startup and be ready to argue with them that they didnt hear it or its no problem.at least get it in writing that you hear the noise. kind of sounds like a bearing noise in the belt tensioner at first good luck
  4. yes looks a lot better black...
  5. i was talking about the rears which i mistakenly thought he was talking about, and yes the front blades have many different options on blades i prefer using bosh beam blades as they last a long time with no problem but they are a little pricey...
  6. first off are you wanting better mpg? what kind of driving do you do city ? city ,hwy mix?the journey might not get the mpg you are wanting if you are heavy footed and do alot of city driving.if you do alot of hwy driving you will get alot better mpg. the journey is a great car and you will love it.price does seam high as 2017 will be out soon and they are offering 3500 rebates you should be able to get a brand new one for about 22k or even less but thats up to you......
  7. yes just had that happen to me on my 2014 I returned the first one and tried a different brand and its no better, havent made it down to the dealership to check on theirs...funny thing is on my 2011 I replaced it with a aftermarket one and didnt have no problem....
  8. i dont have a dog in this fight but it does sound like what camper is saying is right because that would prevent stolen radios from being used as you would have to know the vin for each one...BUT as i say i dont know the answer to the question being debated here.....
  9. before i started buying more radios i would disconnect the radio from the wiring harness and drive for a couple of weeks to see if that actually is the problem before spending a lot of money and then find out it was something else.....
  10. wonder if it was the first air filter change hope not......
  11. regular replacement bulb is 9005 so thats why he had to trim parts of the bulb base of the 9012 bulb to fit in and for the connector to plug up to the existing wire connector..as the 9012 bulb is not the correct bulb for our journeys... this has been discussed in other post in the forum . as i havent done either option i am not for sure but i would think going led would be easier and cheaper than buying a 9012 bulb and then trying to make it fit for a little improvement that it may give ,but as i said before i havent tried either option, maybe some of our other posters can elaborate on it?
  12. why not check with your DODGE dealership they will have all your answers that you will know IS correct instead oh hearsay, not trying to be negative as there is a lot of good advice here but you need to be 100 percent sure of the answers to your questions .....
  13. check our forum on battery has been discussed quite alot easy to do if you are able to remove tire, do it yourself....
  14. i sometimes have to push the button firmly but wouldn't call it hitting them
  15. havent really seen the need for front or rear splash guards on the journey course we dont have much snow or dirt roads in AL. my journey seems to stay pretty clean down there, now the grill and hood from the bugs are a different story.......
  16. just drill a small hole and use a small short screw will do
  17. both journeys i have had the same piece got broken and replaced by the dealer and then broke again i just put it back in place and then drilled a small hole thur the side towards the front and then used a small black screw never had any more problems out of it. i assume you are talking about the black side panel on the side of the seat.
  18. i would use only the plugs what the car calls for, and even for what little the plugs would cost if they are easy to do i would do that also in a heart beat as if you take the car into a shop that will be the first thing they will want to do anyways..
  19. this subject has been beat to death cjeck the forums for them , but i use mopar filters and syn. oil have been using it for yrs.
  20. probally the pads getting worn done easy to change out, just pull your rear wheel and look at the edge of the pad.
  21. so take it to a different dodge dealership and see what they say,get everything they say in writing and keep the paperwork and start working from there. and since you have the extended warranty have it verified from several dealers and then work your way up the food chain from there and be calm and polite and if someone says their is nothing they can do ask for the next higher person in charge,
  22. agree with dhh3 run several cans of it thur with different tanks of gas took time building up and will take some time getting them clean if it works might be to gunked up and require injector cleaning.
