  1. traded my 2011 at 70k small problem with the front rotors at about 11k dealer took care of it, and now have 36k on my2014 just put new tires on it, 3 of the tires still had some tread left and one tire was down to the wear bars but it was worn down evenly so it wasn't an alignment problem and i always kept them rotated regularly. I love my journey for the room and ride.....
  2. well your initial question is so vague and incomplete with hardly any info it cant be taken serious.sorry if you i offended you but next time explain what you want and what the problems are.
  3. had to turn the central air today, almost 80 today.....cant wait for it to cool off.... lol
  4. well i rec my tires this morning and loaded them up and off to walmart to have them mounted and balance so final cost $582. after all rebates come in not bad for this size tire 235-55-19 , speedo should be off about .9 mph according to a tire calculator, hooked up my garmin and was 1 mph faster then the speedo.. Was wondering if the evic mpg would be affected with the bigger tires, cant imagine it would be off much if it is? Nice to be be on good rubber again time to go on a casino trip, also just turned 36k
  5. i was telling you look at this as it could be the decoupler pulley on the alternator ,my daughter had one go bad so that's how i found out about it. it is the free wheeling pulley that bolts to the alternator... good luck as they are a hassle to get off as the belt tensioner is also..
  6. check the forums as this has been discussed quite a lot....welcome to the group
  7. my daughter said dad my van is making a whomp whomp noise and has been doing it for about a week, she is a postal route sub. driver so i take it for a drive and it sounded liked a possible brake pad grinding into a rotor but it made the noise with out your foot on the pedal, well narrowed it down to the front right side tire, jacked it up and the wheel had a little play when pushing on the tire so decided it was the bearing and it was, took about 30 minutes to replace it after going to buy a new one about $69. with the discount it was $49. at advance auto . its good thing we had replaced the cv joint so we had the socket for that nut I think its 32mm . but it sure didnt sound like a bearing going bad in the old days it usually sounded like a whine or high pitch noise....
  8. nope you have to return them to discount tire if they want you to return them,at least that's what they told me yesterday. i ordered a set of cooper cs5 ultra touring 235-55-19 fri nite with the $70. rebate from cooper and $30. rebate for using their credit card and the $40, instant discount got them for $620. without the warranty and will rec the 70+30 rebate in a visa cash card making total cost of $520 will have walmart mount and lifetime balance and rotation for $14. per tire so total $56. +$520=$576. and i have 30 days to buy the warranty from discount they want about $20. per tire for it. I Got to looking if you are buying thru them look for specials during the holidays if i had bought last month during their president day specials would have saved about another $65. oh well should get the tires in about 3 days they say hope everything goes okay......also with the size tires i got will throw my speedo off about 1 mph, slightly bigger tire than the org. tire
  9. 2009 Dodge Journey Alternator Noise from Pulley try googling this video it could be your decoupler on your alternator also that is making a noise, didnt find no video on how to remove your belt tensioner but most auto zones have printed literature on how to do stuff if you buy your parts from them. i know on my 2007 dodge caravan you have to loosen the motor mounts on one side to replace the water pump not to bad to do....
  10. have been washing my gutters and painted them last couple of days got up to about 70 today
  11. i've been getting computer calls lately, i just ask a stupid question then hang up...lol
  12. LOL you need to have some one post a pic of the seat as you are not giving enough info and everyone has to guess.....
  13. best way to check wires with a meter and have some one twist or bend the wires gently while you are keeping a good eye on the meter as the wires mostly are separated inside of their plastic casing.. good luck
  14. anyone ever use discount tire off the internet or tire rack ? should you get the warranty thru them looks like a pain if you had to return one.
  15. just wondering why some cars have the rear caliper on the back side of the rotor and others put it more forward side? is it the difference in front wheel drive vs rear wheel drive or just their preference?
  16. i always use the 2nd trip mileage counter for my oil change that way i dont have to look it up in the book and i dont like thoes little stickers that some places put on your window, even tho i do mine own oil changes
  17. sorry my bad hope you find your answers...
  18. i believe this has been discussed before look thru the threads in the forum and you will find what you are looking for. good luck and let us know how it comes out a lot of good info on this site.. look under engine transmission section page 2 all the info you need
  19. don't know if you know how long you are going to keep it? but since dodge shortened the powerplant warranty you might want to buy a extended warranty i plan to run the wheels off this mine, check out the post for warranties might be a good investment if you plan to keep it a long time..
  20. make double sure when pluging them back in they got put back in correctly and seated correctly. yrs ago my son was messing around with his fuse box in his camaro and comes inside and said dad my car wont run right i went outside and got to looking and he told me what he was doing so i checked the fuses and everything looked okay i pulled some of them out and put them back in to make sure they weren't blown every thing looked okay never could figure it out, ended up taking it to a mechanic and about $300,(plugs and wires and labor) he called and said the car was fixed...ended up being one fuse on the fuel injectors when it got pushed back in, the pin had got bent just enough it was slipping behind the slot it was supposed to slid into.... so check and make sure you got all your connections right ....good luck....
